ECTAS is currently hiring a Senior Site Engineer Civil to join its team for a major construction project located in North Algeria. This recruitment opportunity is open for an initial 12-month fixed-term contract (CDD) with the possibility of renewal, and the expected start date is September 2026.

As a Senior Site Engineer Civil at ECTAS, you will play a central role in overseeing all civil engineering activities directly on site. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure that every phase of construction work aligns precisely with the approved technical plans, engineering drawings, and project specifications. You will act as the key technical authority on the ground, making critical decisions that impact the quality, safety, and timely delivery of the project.

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include supervising all civil engineering works across the construction site, monitoring compliance of ongoing activities with design documents and technical standards, and coordinating closely with multidisciplinary work teams as well as subcontractors to ensure seamless project execution. You will be expected to track the progress of all site activities, prepare detailed periodic progress reports for project management, and flag any deviations or delays immediately.

Quality control will be a major part of your role. You will be responsible for inspecting materials, construction methods, and finished works to guarantee they meet the required quality benchmarks. When technical problems arise on site, you will be the go-to person for identifying root causes and implementing effective solutions without compromising the project timeline.

Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) standards are non-negotiable at ECTAS. You will be tasked with enforcing strict adherence to all HSE protocols, conducting regular safety briefings, and ensuring that every worker and subcontractor complies with the established safety regulations. You will also actively participate in project coordination meetings, providing technical input and updates to keep all stakeholders aligned.

To be considered for this Senior Site Engineer Civil position, you must hold a recognized engineering degree in Civil Engineering. The ideal candidate will bring between 8 and 12 years of hands-on experience in construction or infrastructure projects, with a proven track record of managing site operations and workshop supervision. Strong leadership and organizational skills are essential, as you will be managing teams and coordinating multiple work streams simultaneously.

Language proficiency is a key requirement for this role. You must be fluent in Arabic, French, and English to effectively communicate with diverse teams, international partners, and local authorities. The ability to produce technical reports in multiple languages will be considered a significant advantage.
