As a participant, you will engage in a 12-month structured journey that includes monthly one-on-one mentor sessions, quarterly technical deep-dives led by AWS solutions architects, access to exclusive AWS training credits and certification preparation resources, and invitation-only community events with women engineers, architects, and technical leaders across AWS teams. You will collaborate on real-world cloud architecture challenges, receive guidance on career navigation in cloud computing, and build a professional network spanning multiple industries and geographies.

Responsibilities include: actively participating in monthly mentorship sessions with prepared goals and progress updates; completing assigned AWS skill-building modules and hands-on labs using AWS Console, CloudFormation, and Well-Architected Tool; contributing to peer learning circles focused on topics such as serverless architecture, container orchestration with ECS/EKS, data analytics with Redshift and Athena, and security best practices using IAM, GuardDuty, and Security Hub; documenting learning outcomes and project artifacts in a shared portfolio; attending virtual AWS She Builds summit and regional meetups; and mentoring incoming cohort members in the program's second half.

The program fosters an inclusive, psychologically safe environment where women at all career stages — from early-career developers to senior engineers transitioning into cloud — can ask questions, take technical risks, and receive actionable feedback without judgment. Participants gain exposure to AWS customer-facing roles, partner ecosystem opportunities, and internal innovation programs such as AWS Builders Library and AWS Heroes nominations.

Ideal candidates demonstrate: proven interest in cloud technologies through projects, certifications (AWS Cloud Practitioner, Solutions Architect Associate, or equivalent), or professional experience; commitment to 4–6 hours monthly for program activities; ability to articulate clear technical and career objectives; and alignment with community values of knowledge sharing, inclusivity, and continuous learning. Prior AWS experience is not required — curiosity and drive are weighted equally.

Technical environment includes: AWS Management Console, AWS CLI, SDKs (Python, JavaScript, Go), Infrastructure as Code (CloudFormation, CDK, Terraform), CI/CD pipelines (CodePipeline, GitHub Actions), monitoring (CloudWatch, X-Ray), and serverless services (Lambda, API Gateway, Step Functions).
