Fakeeh Care Group is currently hiring an Outpatient Pharmacist to join its healthcare team in the Al Yasmin District of Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This recruitment drive aims to strengthen pharmaceutical services within one of the Kingdom’s leading private healthcare networks. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in ensuring safe, accurate, and patient-centered medication dispensing in an outpatient pharmacy setting.
As an Outpatient Pharmacist at Fakeeh Care Group, your primary responsibility will be to dispense prescription medications accurately while providing comprehensive counseling to patients regarding dosage, administration, potential side effects, and drug interactions. You will collaborate closely with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to optimize therapeutic outcomes and ensure adherence to Saudi Food and Drug Authority (SFDA) regulations and institutional protocols.
Key duties include verifying prescriptions for clinical appropriateness, managing inventory levels, maintaining controlled substance logs, conducting medication therapy reviews, and participating in quality improvement initiatives. The pharmacist will also contribute to formulary management, adverse drug reaction reporting, and staff training on new pharmaceutical products or updated guidelines.
The ideal candidate must hold a Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy (B.Pharm) or Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) from an accredited institution and possess a valid Saudi Commission for Health Specialties (SCFHS) license or eligibility for licensure in Saudi Arabia. A minimum of two years of experience in outpatient or retail pharmacy settings is required, preferably within a hospital-affiliated clinic or large healthcare provider.
Essential competencies include strong knowledge of pharmacology, excellent communication skills in English (Arabic proficiency is a plus), attention to detail, ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment, and proficiency in pharmacy management software such as Cerner, Epic, or similar electronic health record systems. Familiarity with USP <795> and <800> standards, sterile compounding practices, and immunization protocols is highly desirable.
