Hiring Industrial Operations Coordinator in Louisville, Kentucky
📍 Louisville, Kentucky, United States, Lexington, Kentucky, United StatesFull-timeHybrid📅 11 juin 2026
Description du poste
AirPro Industrial Solutions is a leading U.S. provider of maintenance services and specialized equipment for the aerospace and heavy manufacturing sectors, with 12 production sites across the country, including three locations in Kentucky: a corporate headquarters in Louisville, a production plant in Lexington, and a dedicated mechanical division focused on complex repairs and custom engineering projects. We serve more than 200 clients in the aviation, defense and industrial equipment industries, and are recognized for our compliance with FAA and AS9100 quality standards.
We are currently hiring an Industrial Operations Coordinator to support end-to-end coordination between our Kentucky-based sites, our network of suppliers and our mechanical division. This hybrid role combines remote work for administrative and reporting tasks with regular on-site presence at our production facilities, supplier locations and client intervention sites, as required to ensure smooth operational flow.
Your core responsibilities will include:
1. Coordinate daily workflows between the Louisville and Lexington production plants, the Louisville corporate headquarters and the mechanical division, ensuring 95% of client project delivery deadlines are met, and resolving operational blockers within 24 hours of identification.
2. Conduct quality inspections of equipment and parts received from suppliers, document discrepancies in the internal tracking system, and launch corrective actions to reduce production delays by 15% year-over-year.
3. Participate in project kickoff meetings with engineering and production teams to translate client specifications into actionable operational plans tailored to the constraints of each site.
4. Maintain up-to-date tracking databases for parts and equipment across the full supply chain, ensuring 98% data accuracy to support production planning and inventory management.
5. Support the mechanical division team during on-site client interventions, ensuring all repairs comply with applicable aerospace and industrial regulations, and collecting field feedback to improve internal processes.
6. Train new production site staff on operational tracking procedures and incident reporting protocols, assessing mastery of processes after 2 weeks of training to ensure uniform application across all teams.
7. Generate weekly performance and project progress reports for operational leadership and executive teams, providing data-driven insights to support strategic decision-making.
8. Negotiate delivery timelines with strategic suppliers in case of delays, and propose alternative solutions to minimize impact on production schedules.
### Work Environment & Culture
AirPro’s culture is built on collaboration, transparency and continuous improvement: every team member is encouraged to share process improvement ideas, and 30% of our operational efficiency gains over the past 3 years came from employee suggestions. You will work closely with cross-functional teams including engineers, production managers, logistics staff and mechanical technicians. The hybrid work model allows you to complete administrative tasks and reporting from home, but you will be required to travel 3 to 4 days per week to our production sites, supplier facilities and client intervention locations, within a 150 km radius of Louisville. A company vehicle is provided for all professional travel.
### Candidate Requirements
- 3+ years of professional experience in industrial operations coordination, technical support or project management in the aerospace, automotive or general manufacturing sectors.
- Proficiency in project management tools (Jira, Asana, MS Project) and production management software (SAP S/4HANA, Oracle Manufacturing).
- Familiarity with quality standards applicable to industrial and aerospace sectors (AS9100, ISO 9001, FAA regulations) is a strong plus.
- Valid driver’s license and personal vehicle for local travel between sites (company mileage reimbursement applies for personal vehicle use when required).
- Excellent written and verbal English communication skills, with the ability to write clear operational reports and lead meetings with technical teams.
- Strong attention to detail, ability to prioritize tasks based on operational urgency, and aptitude for solving complex problems under pressure.
- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Operations Management or a related field is preferred, but relevant professional experience will be considered in lieu of formal education.
### Technical Skills
You will use the following real-world tools on a daily basis:
- Project management platforms: Jira, Asana, Microsoft Project
- Enterprise resource planning and production software: SAP S/4HANA, Oracle Manufacturing
- Quality tracking systems: Trackwise, MasterControl
- Microsoft Office Suite (advanced Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
- Communication and collaboration tools: Slack, Microsoft Teams
- Basic knowledge of CAD software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks) is a plus for coordinating with engineering teams.
### Benefits & Compensation
We offer a competitive annual salary between $55,000 and $72,000, depending on your experience and skill set, plus an annual performance bonus tied to team operational goals and quality metrics. Benefits include:
- 80% coverage of health insurance premiums for you and your dependents
- 15 days of paid vacation per year, plus 10 paid company holidays
- Employee profit-sharing program, with annual payouts based on company performance
- Company vehicle provided for all professional travel, plus mileage reimbursement for personal vehicle use when required
- Annual professional development budget of $2,000 to cover training, certifications or conference attendance
- Flexible scheduling options to support work-life balance, with core working hours of 9am to 3pm ET from Monday to Friday.
