Hiring Supply Chain Analyst in Louisville, KY
📍 Louisville, KY, United StatesFull-timeHybrid📅 11 juin 2026
Description du poste
Actalent is a global leader in workforce solutions and professional staffing, specializing in engineering, information technology, manufacturing, and supply chain sectors. We partner with over 150 companies across the Greater Louisville area, including top-tier automotive parts manufacturers, consumer goods producers, regional distribution centers, and logistics providers, to fill critical operational roles with qualified talent. This opening is for a Supply Chain Analyst position with one of our established manufacturing clients, with full support and accompaniment from our dedicated supply chain recruitment team throughout your tenure. The Supply Chain Analyst (hybrid, Louisville, KY) role is a key operational position designed to optimize end-to-end material and product flows, improve forecasting accuracy, and reduce operational costs across our client’s production and distribution network. Unlike generic data entry roles, this position gives you direct access to real-time operational data and the autonomy to implement process improvements with measurable impact, working closely with cross-functional teams including production planners, logistics coordinators, finance teams, and sales departments. Key responsibilities for this role include: 1. Analyze end-to-end supply chain performance metrics (inventory turnover, on-time delivery rates, customer service levels, transportation costs) using ERP systems and BI dashboards to identify bottlenecks and cost-saving opportunities, with a target of reducing total logistics costs by 3-5% within the first 12 months of tenure. 2. Coordinate raw material flows between suppliers and production lines to maintain a 98% component availability rate on manufacturing lines, and reduce delivery delays by 15% within the first 6 months through proactive supplier communication and inventory buffer optimization. 3. Maintain and optimize inventory planning parameters in client SAP/Oracle ERP systems, aligned with seasonal demand forecasts and stockout alerts, to reduce excess inventory by 10% without impacting product availability for customers. 4. Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to refine short- and medium-term demand forecasts, integrating historical sales data, planned promotions, and market trends to improve forecast accuracy by 8% annually. 5. Lead continuous improvement projects for logistics processes (lean supply chain, 5S, delivery route optimization) in partnership with operations managers, to reduce order processing times by 12% within 8 months. 6. Produce weekly and monthly performance reports for operational and financial leadership, including KPI dashboards and actionable corrective recommendations, presented during monthly performance review meetings. 7. Resolve supply chain operational incidents (delivery delays, stockouts, order errors) within 4 business hours, in coordination with logistics teams, suppliers, and customers, to maintain a minimum 95% customer satisfaction rate. 8. Support the implementation of new digital tools (WMS, TMS, AI-powered demand forecasting modules) at client sites, including functionality testing, team training, and feedback collection to drive tool adoption across operational teams. Work environment and culture: All our Greater Louisville manufacturing clients operate a structured hybrid work model: 3 days per week on-site at the client’s facilities (located in Louisville’s industrial corridor or surrounding counties) and 2 days of remote work, with flexible hours adjusted to match production peak periods. Teams are composed of 5 to 12 cross-functional members, with flat management structures that prioritize autonomy and collaboration over rigid top-down directives. You will work on tangible, high-impact projects with direct access to operational data, with no redundant administrative tasks cluttering your workload. Teams are diverse, with members from operations, finance, and sales backgrounds, giving you a full end-to-end view of the supply chain function. We encourage initiative: if you identify a process improvement opportunity, you will be supported by your manager and team to test and implement your ideas. Candidate requirements: We require a minimum of 2 years of professional experience in a supply chain analyst, planner, or logistics coordinator role, ideally within the manufacturing sector. You have a solid grasp of core supply chain concepts: inventory management, demand forecasting, flow coordination, and logistics KPIs. You are proficient with digital tools: advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VBA macros, advanced functions), hands-on experience with at least one ERP system (SAP, Oracle NetSuite, Microsoft Dynamics), and ideally experience with BI tools (Power BI, Tableau, Qlik). You have strong data analysis skills, are detail-oriented, able to prioritize tasks based on operational urgency, and have excellent communication skills to present your analyses to non-specialist stakeholders (production teams, sales staff, executive leadership). A CPIM (APICS) certification or lean management training is a plus, but not required. Technical skills used in this role include industry-standard tools: SAP S/4HANA, Oracle NetSuite, Microsoft Power BI, Tableau, Advanced Excel (with VBA), SQL for database querying, Manhattan Associates WMS, SAP TM (Transport Management), Jira for project tracking, and Microsoft Teams for cross-team collaboration. Compensation and benefits: We offer a competitive compensation package aligned with the Greater Louisville market for candidates with 2-5 years of experience: annual base salary between $58,000 and $72,000 USD, depending on your experience and the client you are placed with, plus an annual performance bonus of up to 10% of your base salary, tied to measurable supply chain improvement targets. Benefits include 80% employer-paid health insurance, a 401(k) retirement plan with 4% employer matching, 15 paid vacation days per year plus 10 paid sick days, full coverage of professional training costs (APICS certifications, ERP/BI tool training), and dedicated support from a specialized supply chain recruiter at Actalent for the full duration of your assignment. We also host quarterly networking events for our supply chain consultants to share best practices and industry insights. Career growth opportunities: This role is a springboard to advance into positions such as Supply Chain Manager, Planning Manager, or Senior Supply Chain Optimization Consultant, based on your career goals. Actalent offers a personalized training program, with fully funded professional certifications, and access to increasingly high-profile client assignments across the regional manufacturing sector. You will also have the opportunity to develop cross-functional skills in areas such as international logistics, production site energy cost optimization, and supplier relationship management if you wish to expand your expertise.
