Description du poste

Wise Staffing Group is a national, family-owned staffing firm with 16 years of experience placing professional, industrial, and healthcare talent across 14 U.S. states, with a dedicated Arizona market launched in 2021 to support growing demand for flexible staffing solutions from Phoenix-based businesses. We currently partner with 300+ local clients ranging from small manufacturing shops to Fortune 500 logistics and healthcare systems, having placed over 12,000 candidates in the Phoenix metro area to date. Our local team operates from a modern downtown Phoenix office, with a culture built on transparency, performance-based recognition, and a shared commitment to matching local talent with career opportunities that support business growth.

We are hiring an Area Sales Manager for our Phoenix market to lead end-to-end client acquisition, expand our existing service portfolio, and drive revenue growth for our local operations. This role offers a competitive base salary of up to $115,000 annually, adjusted for prior sales experience and demonstrated track record of hitting quota, plus uncapped weekly commission with top performers in the role earning an additional $40,000 to $75,000 per year in commissionable earnings.

Your core responsibilities will include:
1. Owning the full sales cycle for the Phoenix metro area, targeting 15-20 new client touchpoints weekly across manufacturing, healthcare, logistics, and professional services sectors, with a quarterly target of closing 8-12 new staffing service contracts aligned with company margin targets of 25% for temporary placements and 15% for direct hire roles.
2. Managing a portfolio of 40+ active existing clients, conducting monthly business reviews to identify unmet staffing needs, upsell additional service lines including temp-to-hire, direct hire, and payroll-only staffing, and maintaining a 90%+ client retention rate year-over-year.
3. Negotiating customized staffing service agreements, including rate structures, SLA terms, and replacement guarantees, ensuring all contracts comply with company legal and financial standards while meeting client operational needs.
4. Collaborating closely with the local recruitment team to share real-time client job requirements, provide actionable feedback on candidate quality, and resolve placement issues within 24 business hours to meet client service level agreements.
5. Conducting weekly territory analysis via Salesforce CRM to track pipeline health, forecast quarterly revenue, and adjust outreach strategies to address gaps in market coverage or underperforming industry verticals.
6. Representing Wise Staffing Group at 2-4 local business networking events, industry trade shows, and chamber of commerce meetings per month to build brand awareness and generate qualified, high-intent sales leads.
7. Developing and executing targeted outreach campaigns for high-priority prospects, including cold calling, LinkedIn outreach, and in-person visits, with a target of 15%+ response rate for initial outreach efforts.
8. Tracking and reporting weekly sales metrics including lead volume, conversion rates, average deal size, and commissionable revenue to the regional sales director to align with company growth targets for the Arizona market.

Our Phoenix office offers a flexible hybrid work model, with 2-3 days per week in the office for team huddles, client preparation, and collaborative planning, and remaining time available for client meetings, remote outreach, and pipeline management. The local team operates with a casual, low-bureaucracy culture, with weekly 30-minute sales huddles to share wins and troubleshoot challenges, monthly team building events, and quarterly recognition programs for top performers with cash bonuses and extra paid time off.

To qualify for this role, you will need:
- 3+ years of B2B sales experience, with preference for prior experience selling staffing, recruitment, or HR services to local businesses
- Proven track record of exceeding sales targets in a competitive, performance-based role
- Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust with business owners, HR leaders, and operations managers
- Proficiency in Salesforce CRM and LinkedIn Sales Navigator, with experience using sales enablement tools to track pipeline and manage client relationships
- Ability to travel within the Phoenix metro area for client meetings 2-3 days per week, with a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional recruitment and operations teams

This role comes with a comprehensive benefits and compensation package designed to support your long-term success:
- Base salary up to $115,000 annually, adjusted for experience and performance history
- Uncapped commission paid weekly, with no cap on earning potential for high performers
- Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance with 90% of employee premiums covered and 50% of dependent premiums covered
- 10 days of paid time off plus 10 paid company holidays per year, with additional tenure-based PTO after 2 years of employment
- 401(k) retirement plan with 4% employer match, vested immediately
- Monthly car allowance of $300 to cover costs of client travel and local outreach
- Company-provided cell phone and laptop for all sales activities
- $1,500 annual professional development stipend to cover sales training, industry conferences, and relevant certifications

For high-performing Area Sales Managers, we offer clear career growth pathways: top performers are eligible for promotion to Regional Sales Manager within 18-24 months of hire, with the opportunity to manage a team of 3-5 sales representatives and oversee a multi-state territory in the Southwest. You will also have access to our internal leadership training program, mentorship from our national sales leadership team, and the ability to shape sales processes and service offerings as we expand our Arizona market presence.

Our hiring process is transparent and efficient, with no unnecessary steps:
1. Submit your resume and a brief 1-paragraph overview of your most successful sales win (including revenue generated and timeline) to [email protected] with the subject line "Area Sales Manager - Phoenix - [Your Full Name]". No cover letter is required, but candidates who include specific, quantifiable sales achievements will be prioritized for interview.
2. If your profile aligns with our requirements, our recruitment team will reach out within 3 business days to schedule a 30-minute initial phone screen to discuss your experience, sales style, and expectations for the role.
3. Selected candidates will be invited to a 1-hour virtual interview with the Phoenix office sales manager and regional sales director, including a brief 10-minute role-play exercise focused on outreach to a local manufacturing business owner.
4. Final round candidates will complete a 30-minute in-person interview at our downtown Phoenix office, with an opportunity to meet the local recruitment team, tour the workspace, and ask questions about day-to-day role responsibilities.

We aim to extend offers to successful candidates within 10 business days of the final interview, with a start date flexible within 4 weeks of offer acceptance. All candidates will receive a response from our team regardless of interview outcome.
