Hiring Campus Director in Baltimore
📍 Baltimore, MD, Linthicum Heights, MDFull-timeOn-site📅 11 juin 2026
Description du poste
Cortiva Institute is a leading national provider of hands-on, career-focused vocational training with over 20 years of experience preparing students for in-demand roles in healthcare, wellness, and allied health fields. Our Baltimore/Linthicum Heights campus serves more than 400 active learners annually, with established partnerships with over 40 local hospitals, wellness clinics, and healthcare employers across the Maryland region, all dedicated to supporting student success from enrollment through post-graduation employment.
We are currently seeking an experienced, student-focused Campus Director to lead our Baltimore/Linthicum Heights location, reporting directly to the regional senior leadership team. This permanent, on-site leadership role holds full ownership of end-to-end campus operations, student success outcomes, faculty and staff support, and alignment with our institutional mission of delivering accessible, high-quality career training to underserved communities in the Baltimore metro area. Unlike generic administrative leadership roles, this position offers direct autonomy to shape campus policies, test new student support initiatives, and build local employer partnerships to meet evolving regional workforce needs.
Key responsibilities for this role include:
1. Oversee full end-to-end campus operations, including class scheduling, facility management, and compliance with all Maryland Higher Education Commission requirements, Title IV federal financial aid rules, and accreditation standards from relevant bodies including the Commission on Massage Therapy Accreditation, ensuring 100% adherence to audit requirements and zero regulatory penalties annually.
2. Lead recruitment, onboarding, performance management, and professional development for a cross-functional team of 25+ faculty, administrative staff, and student support specialists, implementing quarterly team training programs that reduce voluntary staff turnover by at least 15% year-over-year and improve student satisfaction scores with instructional staff by 20% within the first 12 months.
3. Drive student retention and program completion outcomes, implementing targeted early-alert interventions for at-risk learners, coordinating closely with academic advisors and career services teams to increase program completion rates from the current 82% baseline to 90% within the first 18 months in the role.
4. Manage an annual campus operating budget of $2.2M, including revenue forecasting, expense tracking, and enrollment revenue optimization, delivering a 5% reduction in unnecessary operational waste while maintaining or improving student access to learning resources, clinical lab equipment, and campus support services.
5. Build and maintain formal partnerships with 30+ local healthcare providers, wellness centers, and skilled trade employers across the Baltimore metropolitan area, coordinating clinical placement and externship opportunities for students, and increasing graduate employment rates in relevant fields by 10% annually.
6. Oversee local campus marketing and enrollment efforts, working with the central marketing team to develop targeted outreach campaigns for local high schools, community colleges, and state workforce development programs, increasing new student enrollment by 12% year-over-year.
7. Serve as the primary point of contact for all campus stakeholders including current and prospective students, parents, faculty, local regulatory bodies, and community partners, resolving escalated issues within 24 hours of receipt, and maintaining a campus-wide stakeholder satisfaction score of 4.5/5 or higher.
8. Lead campus safety and emergency response planning, coordinating with local first responders and campus security to conduct quarterly safety drills and maintain full compliance with OSHA and local Baltimore County safety regulations, ensuring zero reportable safety incidents on campus annually.
Our campus culture is built on mutual respect, student-first decision-making, and collaborative problem-solving: we prioritize input from frontline staff and current students when shaping campus policies, and we celebrate team wins regularly, from student graduation milestones to staff professional achievements. You will work closely with a supportive regional leadership team that provides ongoing coaching and access to cross-campus resources to help you succeed, with flexibility to pilot new student support initiatives and operational improvements without excessive bureaucratic red tape.
Ideal candidates for this role will have a minimum of 7 years of experience in educational leadership, campus management, or student services, preferably within vocational, allied health, or higher education settings. You must have a proven track record of improving student retention and completion rates, managing multi-million dollar operational budgets, and leading diverse cross-functional teams. Strong familiarity with Maryland state educational regulations, federal financial aid rules for higher education, and accreditation standards for vocational training programs is required. Excellent interpersonal and cross-cultural communication skills are a must, as you will serve as the primary public face of the campus for students, partners, and community stakeholders. A bachelor’s degree in Education Administration, Business Management, or a related field is required; a master’s degree in Educational Leadership or a related field is strongly preferred.
You will be expected to use our existing institutional technology stack in this role, including Salesforce for student relationship management and enrollment tracking, Blackboard for learning management system oversight, Jira for operational issue tracking and cross-team project management, QuickBooks for campus budget management, and Microsoft 365 for daily administrative tasks. Familiarity with these tools is preferred, but we will provide comprehensive training for candidates with equivalent experience in similar platforms.
We offer a competitive annual salary range of $95,000 to $115,000, adjusted for experience and qualifications, plus a comprehensive benefits package including 100% employer-paid health, dental, and vision coverage for you and your dependents, 15 days of paid time off plus 10 paid company holidays and 5 paid professional development days annually, a 401(k) retirement plan with 4% employer match, tuition reimbursement for approved continuing education courses, and a monthly stipend for remote work-related expenses for occasional off-site meetings. We prioritize work-life balance for our leadership team, with flexible scheduling options available for personal needs as required.
This role offers clear, structured pathways for career advancement within Cortiva’s national network of 20+ campuses across the United States: high-performing Campus Directors are eligible for promotion to Regional Director roles overseeing 3-5 campus locations, or to central leadership roles in curriculum development, student success strategy, or institutional operations. We provide annual leadership development coaching, access to national higher education leadership conferences, and opportunities to lead cross-campus initiative teams to build your professional skill set and expand your impact across the organization.
The hiring process for this role will proceed as follows: 1) Initial application review: We will review all submissions received via email to [email protected] by October 31, 2024. 2) First-round interview: Selected candidates will be invited to a 30-minute virtual screening interview with the regional senior leadership team. 3) Second-round interview: Finalists will be invited to an on-site tour of the Baltimore/Linthicum Heights campus, followed by a 60-minute panel interview with campus staff and a 15-minute presentation of your 90-day vision for campus improvement. 4) Offer extension: We will extend formal offers to successful candidates by November 15, 2024, with a targeted start date of December 2, 2024. To apply, submit your resume and a 1-page cover letter outlining your relevant experience leading campus operations and improving student success outcomes to [email protected], with the subject line “Campus Director Application – [Your Full Name]”.
