📍 Houston, Texas, USAFull-timeHybrid📅 11 juin 2026

Description du poste

Founded in 1998 and headquartered in Houston, Texas, JF Petroleum Group is a leading independent service provider in the U.S. oil and gas sector, operating across 17 states with a team of specialized technicians, engineers, and field leaders. We support major operators including ExxonMobil, Chevron, and ConocoPhillips with end-to-end services for onshore and offshore drilling, pipeline maintenance, and after-sales technical support. Our track record includes a 99.2% safety incident rate over the past 5 years, and we have delivered more than 1,200 successful pipeline installation and maintenance projects since 2020. Unlike large bureaucratic oil and gas conglomerates, we maintain a flat organizational structure that empowers field leaders to make operational decisions quickly, with direct access to executive leadership for support on high-stakes projects.

We are currently recruiting a Service Manager to lead our field operations team in Houston, Texas, reporting directly to the Regional Director of Operations. This role is designed for an experienced field leader with a strong background in oil and gas service delivery, who can balance client expectations, team performance, safety compliance, and departmental profitability. You will oversee a team of 12 to 15 field technicians and construction foremen, managing end-to-end service delivery for commercial and industrial clients across the Gulf Coast region.

Key responsibilities for this role include:
1. Supervise end-to-end field service operations for oil and gas clients, ensuring 95% on-time project delivery across all maintenance, installation, and repair assignments, with emergency response within 2 hours of client notification for critical incidents.
2. Lead a cross-functional team of 12 to 15 technicians and foremen, conducting quarterly performance reviews, personalized development planning, and skills training to reduce team turnover by 20% within the first 12 months of tenure.
3. Coordinate with the commercial sales team to respond to client service requests and quotes, optimizing response workflows to achieve an 85% quote conversion rate within 48 hours of request receipt.
4. Implement and enforce safety protocols aligned with OSHA 1910 and API RP 75 standards, conducting monthly on-site safety audits to maintain a 99.5% lost-time incident rate across all managed projects.
5. Manage an annual departmental budget of $2.2M, overseeing procurement of specialized equipment, labor costs, and operational expenses, with a target of staying within 3% of approved budget allocations each quarter.
6. Build and maintain long-term relationships with 20+ key client accounts, including refinery operators, pipeline companies, and drilling contractors, hosting monthly check-ins to achieve a 92% client retention rate.
7. Oversee maintenance and calibration of specialized oil and gas field equipment (including Baker Hughes pipeline testing systems, NOV drilling tools, and Caterpillar heavy lifting equipment) to reduce unplanned downtime by 25% year-over-year via a structured preventive maintenance schedule.
8. Generate weekly and monthly performance reports for executive leadership, tracking KPIs including on-time delivery, safety metrics, client satisfaction scores, and departmental profitability, using Tableau for data visualization and SAP for financial tracking.

Our work culture prioritizes field team support over administrative burden: we provide all necessary personal protective equipment (PPE) at no cost, cover all certification and training expenses for team members, and maintain a 1:1 ratio of administrative support staff to field managers to reduce paperwork load. You will spend approximately 80% of your time on client sites across the Gulf Coast region, with 20% of your time in our Houston office for team meetings and reporting. We offer flexible scheduling for on-site work to accommodate project deadlines, and provide a company vehicle for all field travel. Our leadership team holds monthly open forums where field managers can share feedback and propose process improvements directly to the CEO and COO, with 3 out of 4 proposed improvements from field teams implemented in the past year.

Ideal candidates will meet the following requirements:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a supervisory or management role within the oil and gas, industrial construction, or heavy equipment service sector, with at least 2 years of experience managing field-based teams.
- In-depth knowledge of OSHA safety regulations and API industry standards for oil and gas operations, with a valid OSHA 30 certification preferred.
- Proven ability to read and interpret technical drawings, site plans, and equipment manuals, with proficiency in AutoCAD for plan review.
- Experience using field service management tools including Fiix CMMS, Salesforce for client relationship management, and Jira for project tracking.
- Strong budget management experience, with a track record of delivering operational results within approved financial allocations.
- Valid U.S. driver’s license with a clean driving record, and willingness to travel up to 30% of the time to client sites across Texas, Louisiana, and Oklahoma.
- Bachelor’s degree in petroleum engineering, mechanical engineering, business administration, or a related field is preferred but not required for candidates with extensive field leadership experience.

Compensation for this role is highly competitive, with an annual base salary range of $95,000 to $125,000, adjusted based on years of field leadership experience and industry certifications. Additional compensation includes an annual performance bonus of up to 15% of base salary, tied to departmental KPIs including safety metrics, on-time delivery, and client retention. Benefits include 80% employer-covered medical, dental, and vision insurance for you and dependents, a 401(k) plan with 6% employer matching and annual profit-sharing contributions, 20 paid time off days plus 10 company holidays and 5 paid volunteer days annually, a fully provided company vehicle for field travel with all associated costs covered, full funding for industry certifications (OSHA 30/40, API credentials, PMP training), 1 remote work day per week for administrative tasks, and a $2,500 annual professional development stipend for conferences or training.

Career growth opportunities at JF Petroleum Group are structured to support long-term advancement: successful Service Managers are eligible for promotion to Regional Operations Director roles after 2 to 3 years of strong performance, with a 30% salary increase for promoted candidates. We also offer a formal mentorship program pairing field leaders with executive sponsors, and cover all costs for attendance at industry conferences including the Offshore Technology Conference (OTC) in Houston and the SPE Annual Technical Conference. Our internal promotion rate for management positions is 40% over the past 3 years, with many current regional leaders starting their tenure at JF in field service management roles.

The recruitment process for this role takes up to 2 weeks from application to offer. Submit your application including your resume and a brief summary of relevant field leadership experience to [email protected] with the subject line "Service Manager Application - [Your Full Name]". You will receive a response from our HR team within 3 business days of submission. The process includes a 30-minute initial phone screening, an on-site interview with the Regional Director of Operations and senior field managers (including a brief case study), and a final conversation with the Chief Operating Officer to discuss career goals. Offers are extended within 10 business days of the final interview, with a flexible start date to accommodate your notice period. Interview slots are available outside standard business hours for candidates currently working in field roles.
