Hiring Hybrid Supply Chain Analyst in Louisville
📍 Louisville, Kentucky, USAFull-timeHybrid📅 11 juin 2026
Description du poste
Actalent Services is a leading national professional staffing and solutions firm that has partnered with mid-sized and enterprise manufacturing, logistics, and consumer goods organizations across the U.S. for over 15 years. Our Louisville-based client roster includes a leading regional food and beverage manufacturer based in the city’s Portland neighborhood, serving grocery chains across 12 Midwest and Southern states, as well as a Fortune 500 automotive parts distribution center that operates 24/7 to meet demand for EV and internal combustion engine components. This role is not a generic corporate opening: you’ll be embedded directly on our client’s supply chain operations team, with full support from Actalent’s local Louisville recruitment and account management team to ensure you have the resources, structured onboarding, and long-term career path you need to succeed.
We are seeking a detail-oriented Hybrid Supply Chain Analyst to join our client’s team in Louisville, working 3 days per week in their downtown-adjacent office and 2 days remotely. This is not an entry-level role: you will be the primary owner of end-to-end purchase order workflows, from initial requisition review and supplier selection through final delivery confirmation and post-mortem analysis of order exceptions. You’ll work closely with procurement, logistics, finance, and quality teams to streamline ordering processes, renegotiate underperforming supplier contracts, and implement data-driven improvements that reduce order lead times by at least 10% within your first 6 months on the job.
Your core measurable responsibilities will include:
1. Own the full lifecycle of 200+ monthly purchase orders for raw materials, packaging, and indirect goods, from initial requisition review and supplier selection through final payment reconciliation, reducing order processing errors by 15% within the first year.
2. Lead quarterly contract renegotiations with 12 core domestic suppliers, leveraging spend analysis data to secure 3-5% cost reductions and improved delivery SLA terms, with all renegotiated contracts documented in the company’s contract management system.
3. Build and maintain automated reporting dashboards in Microsoft Power BI and Excel to track key supply chain metrics: order cycle time, on-time in-full (OTIF) delivery rates, supplier defect rates, and inventory carrying costs, presenting weekly performance updates to the supply chain leadership team.
4. Investigate and resolve 90% of purchase order exceptions (late shipments, incorrect quantities, quality holds) within 24 hours of escalation, coordinating with logistics, warehouse, and quality teams to minimize production downtime and customer delivery delays.
5. Partner with the procurement team to update the approved supplier list, conducting quarterly performance reviews of 20+ active vendors to ensure compliance with quality, safety, and sustainability standards.
6. Support the annual inventory audit process by reconciling 500+ stock keeping units (SKUs) of raw material inventory against purchase order records, identifying and resolving discrepancies within 48 hours to ensure accurate financial reporting.
7. Collaborate with the IT team to implement process improvements in the company’s ERP system (Oracle NetSuite), reducing manual data entry steps by 20% and automating low-value approval workflows for orders under $5,000.
8. Train 3 new junior supply chain coordinators on purchase order management best practices, contract negotiation frameworks, and reporting tool usage within your first 12 months in the role.
Our client’s Louisville office is a collaborative, low-toxicity environment located just 10 minutes from downtown, with free on-site parking and a nearby bike share station for commuters. Cross-functional teams regularly hold in-person brainstorming sessions to solve operational challenges, with no micromanagement of day-to-day task execution. The team prioritizes work-life balance: you will not be required to respond to non-urgent emails or messages outside of your scheduled work hours, and the hybrid schedule lets you avoid a 5-day weekly commute while still maintaining in-person connections with your teammates. The 12-member supply chain team is 60% women and 40% BIPOC, with a strong track record of promoting from within for high-performing analysts. We also prioritize continuous learning: you’ll have access to a $2,000 annual professional development stipend to take supply chain certification courses (like CSCP or CPSM) or attend local industry meetups hosted by the Louisville Supply Chain Professionals group.
Required qualifications for this role: 2+ years of hands-on experience managing end-to-end purchase orders in a supply chain, procurement, or operations role; solid experience supporting contract negotiation or supplier performance management; advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (including VLOOKUP, XLOOKUP, PivotTables, and Power Query); experience working with ERP systems (Oracle NetSuite, SAP S/4HANA, or Microsoft Dynamics 365 is a plus); strong written and verbal communication skills to coordinate with cross-functional teams and external suppliers; ability to work hybrid: 3 days in-office in Louisville, 2 days remotely. Preferred qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field; experience building Power BI or Tableau dashboards for supply chain metrics; experience working in manufacturing, distribution, or consumer goods supply chains; active certification in supply chain management (CSCP, CPSM, or CLTD).
You will use the following real-world tools in this role: Oracle NetSuite, Advanced Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Power BI, Jira (for tracking order exceptions), Slack (for cross-team communication), DocuSign (for contract execution), Microsoft SharePoint (for document storage), and SAP S/4HANA (experience with this tool is preferred but not required).
Actalent Services offers a competitive compensation package for this role, with a base salary range of $62,000 to $78,000 per year, adjusted based on your years of relevant experience and technical skills. Benefits include: medical, dental, and vision insurance with 90% of premium costs covered by Actalent for employees and 50% for dependents; 10 days of paid time off in your first year, plus 7 paid company holidays and 2 floating holidays; 401(k) plan with a 4% employer match; access to Actalent’s employee assistance program (EAP) for mental health, financial planning, and legal support; paid time off for professional development and certification exams; hybrid work schedule with no requirement for after-hours work unless pre-approved for urgent operational issues.
This role is a direct pathway to senior supply chain roles, either with our client’s team or across Actalent’s national client roster. High-performing analysts in this role are typically promoted to Senior Supply Chain Analyst within 18-24 months, with a salary increase of 10-15%, or transition to procurement specialist, supply chain project manager, or operations manager roles. Actalent also offers internal mobility to work with other clients in the logistics, manufacturing, or consumer goods space if you’re interested in exploring different supply chain niches after 2 years in the role. Our local Louisville account management team will meet with you quarterly to discuss your career goals and connect you with opportunities that align with your interests.
The hiring process for this role is designed to be transparent and fast: if you submit your application, you will receive a confirmation response within 1 business day. If your background is a strong match, our recruiting team will schedule a 30-minute phone screen with Olivia Rivers, the recruiting lead for Louisville supply chain roles, within 3 business days. Next, you will complete a 45-minute virtual interview with the client’s supply chain operations manager, where you’ll walk through a sample purchase order exception scenario to demonstrate your problem-solving skills. A final 30-minute in-person interview at the client’s Louisville office will follow within 1 week of the virtual interview, where you’ll meet 2 members of the supply chain team and discuss your long-term career goals. We aim to extend a formal offer to the selected candidate within 10 business days of the initial application submission. To apply, send your resume and a brief 2-3 sentence note explaining your relevant experience with end-to-end purchase order management and contract negotiation support to [email protected] with the subject line “Supply Chain Analyst Application – [Your Full Name]”. We review all applications on a rolling basis, so we encourage you to apply as soon as possible to be considered for upcoming interview slots.
