Hiring Hybrid Supply Chain Analyst in Louisville
📍 Louisville, Kentucky, USAFull-timeHybrid📅 11 juin 2026
Description du poste
Context: Actalent Services is a specialized recruitment firm focused on supply chain, engineering, and operations roles, partnering with major companies across the Louisville metropolitan area, one of the largest logistics hubs in the United States, home to UPS Worldport and a dense network of distribution, manufacturing, and consumer goods companies. Our client for this opening is a leading North American consumer goods distribution firm operating out of Louisville’s central logistics district, with a focus on optimizing end-to-end supply chain processes for its retail and e-commerce partners.
Role Introduction: We are currently recruiting a Hybrid Supply Chain Analyst to join our client’s operations team, based in Louisville with a hybrid work arrangement of 3 days on-site and 2 days remote per week. In this role, you will own the full lifecycle of purchase order management, contribute to supplier contract negotiations, and leverage data analytics to drive process improvements that reduce costs, minimize delivery delays, and improve cross-team alignment across procurement, logistics, and finance teams.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Manage the full cradle-to-grave lifecycle of all purchase orders, from initial creation to final goods receipt, monitoring delivery timelines and resolving non-conforming delivery disputes within a maximum 48-hour window, to maintain a 95%+ on-time order processing rate.
2. Actively participate in supplier contract negotiations for national and international vendors, analyzing pricing proposals, payment terms, and late-delivery penalty clauses to deliver 3-5% cost reductions on raw material purchases within the first year of new contracts.
3. Analyze supplier performance data using Business Intelligence tools (Power BI, Tableau) to identify optimization opportunities, and produce weekly performance reports for operational teams and senior leadership to support data-driven decision-making.
4. Collaborate with logistics, quality, and finance teams to resolve blockers related to delayed orders, non-conforming returns, or billing discrepancies, implementing corrective actions within a 72-hour timeframe to avoid supply chain disruptions.
5. Maintain and update supplier databases in the SAP S/4HANA ERP system, ensuring 98% data accuracy, and support data migration efforts during system updates and process overhauls.
6. Monitor stock levels of critical inventory items in partnership with planning teams, set up stock-out alert systems, and propose tailored replenishment solutions to reduce stock-out incidents by 15% annually.
7. Participate in internal procurement process audits to verify compliance with company policies and negotiated contract terms, reducing fraud risk and unauthorized spending by 10% year-over-year.
8. Train new operational team members on purchase order processing procedures and contract management tool usage, cutting new hire onboarding time by 20% for supply chain roles.
Work Environment & Culture: You will work in modern, centrally located offices in Louisville, a short distance from the city’s major logistics infrastructure. The team operates a collaborative, low-bureaucracy culture that prioritizes cross-functional communication and continuous improvement. The hybrid schedule allows for focused, independent analytical work on remote days, while on-site days are dedicated to operational meetings, supplier calls, and cross-team alignment sessions. The company provides access to collaborative tools including Slack, Microsoft Teams, and Jira to streamline communication, and hosts monthly professional development sessions focused on supply chain best practices.
Candidate Requirements:
- 2 to 4 years of professional experience in a supply chain analyst, procurement, or operations role, with confirmed hands-on experience managing purchase orders across their full lifecycle.
- Proven experience negotiating supplier contracts, preferably in the distribution, manufacturing, or consumer goods sector.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including complex formulas, pivot tables, Power Query, and preferably VBA macro skills.
- Experience using supply chain ERP systems, with a preference for SAP S/4HANA or Oracle Procurement Cloud.
- Familiarity with Business Intelligence tools (Power BI, Tableau) for supply chain data analysis.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills to interact with internal stakeholders, suppliers, and senior leadership.
- Strong ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple concurrent projects in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Fluent English is mandatory; proficiency in a second language (Spanish, French) is a strong plus.
Technical Skills: You will regularly use SAP S/4HANA, Oracle Procurement Cloud, Advanced Microsoft Excel, Power BI, Tableau, Jira, Microsoft Teams, Slack, and Power Query in your day-to-day tasks.
Benefits & Compensation: This full-time hybrid role offers a base salary between $58,000 and $72,000 per year, adjusted based on your experience and technical skills, plus an annual performance bonus of up to 10% of your base salary. Benefits include 80% employer-paid health insurance for you and your dependents, 15 days of paid time off plus 10 days of paid RTT per year, a 4% annual profit-sharing contribution, a $2,000 annual professional development budget for certifying courses (CSCP, CPSM, etc.), free on-site parking, and regular team-building events. The hybrid schedule also provides flexibility to balance professional and personal commitments.
Career Growth Opportunities: This role is a stepping stone to senior positions including Procurement Manager, Supply Chain Manager, or Supply Chain Optimization Consultant, either with our client or across the Actalent Services network of partners. You will receive a personalized onboarding plan for your first 6 months, and bi-annual career development check-ins with your line manager to define clear progression goals and skill-building priorities.
Hiring Process & Next Steps: The recruitment process consists of 3 steps: 1) A 30-minute phone screening with Olivia Rivers, recruitment consultant at Actalent Services, to discuss your background and expectations. 2) A 45-minute technical interview with the client’s supply chain manager to review your past experience with purchase order management and contract negotiation. 3) A 30-minute final interview with the client’s operations director to validate cultural fit and long-term alignment with the team. The full process takes 10 to 15 business days from receipt of your application. To apply, send your updated CV to [email protected] with the subject line "Supply Chain Analyst Louisville Application - [Your Full Name]"; a cover letter is recommended but not mandatory. Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis, and interviews will be scheduled starting October 15, 2024.
