📍 Louisville, KentuckyFull-timeHybrid📅 11 juin 2026

Description du poste

AirPro Aerospace Solutions is a leading regional provider of Maintenance, Repair and Overhaul (MRO) services for commercial and private aircraft fleets, headquartered in Louisville, Kentucky, with production sites across the Midwest, a dedicated mechanical division manufacturing certified replacement parts, and partnerships with 12+ certified aerospace parts suppliers. We serve major commercial airlines, private operators and aerospace manufacturers, with a strict commitment to FAA compliance and the highest safety standards in the industry, maintaining a 99.9% safety record across all operations over the past 5 years.

We are currently recruiting an Aircraft Maintenance & Technical Support Engineer for a hybrid role based in Louisville. This position combines remote work for administrative coordination and project tracking with frequent on-site travel to our production facilities, corporate headquarters, supplier sites and mechanical division to conduct audits, oversee on-site interventions and lead operational meetings. The ideal candidate brings proven experience in aerospace maintenance, regulatory compliance and cross-functional technical coordination.

Key responsibilities for this role include:
1. Coordinate and oversee preventive and corrective maintenance operations for a fleet of 45 commercial and private aircraft, ensuring a 98% compliance rate with scheduled maintenance programs and less than 24 hours of aircraft downtime for unplanned interventions.
2. Conduct regular audits across our 3 regional production sites, 12 certified supplier facilities and mechanical division, identifying FAA Part 145 compliance gaps and implementing corrective action plans with a maximum 7 business day resolution timeline for minor non-conformities.
3. Manage technical incident tracking via the Jira platform, prioritizing requests based on flight operation impact, and delivering a 95% resolution rate for level 1 incidents within 4 business hours.
4. Develop and update maintenance procedures and technical manuals in the SAP EAM (Enterprise Asset Management) system, ensuring all updates align with the latest FAA and OSHA regulations, and that 100% of the technical team is trained on new procedures within 2 weeks of publication.
5. Coordinate with the procurement team and suppliers to manage critical spare parts inventory, reducing delivery times for out-of-stock parts by 15% over a 12-month period and cutting obsolete parts storage costs by 10% annually.
6. Contribute to the development of annual maintenance budgets by analyzing parts consumption data and intervention costs, proposing optimization measures to reduce operational costs by 5% per year without compromising flight safety.
7. Train site technical teams on new maintenance procedures and safety standards, organizing 4 training sessions per quarter, and validating participant learning with a 100% pass rate on certification tests.
8. Draft detailed technical reports for the FAA and executive leadership, presenting audit results, maintenance performance indicators and action plans, with 99.5% data accuracy and 100% on-time submission to meet regulatory deadlines.

Our work environment prioritizes safety as the core value of all operations, with a flat organizational structure that encourages all team members to report risks and propose process improvements. Our 120-person team includes 35 specialized engineers and technicians, with an employee turnover rate of less than 8% over the past 3 years. We offer a flexible remote work policy for administrative tasks, with pre-scheduled on-site travel to minimize disruption to your personal life, 15 days of minimum paid time off per year, 10 sick days and 5 dedicated training days. We also host monthly knowledge-sharing sessions and cover 100% of costs for FAA-certified training courses for all technical staff.

Candidate requirements:
- 3 to 7 years of professional experience in aircraft maintenance, technical support or aerospace manufacturing, with prior experience in a FAA-regulated environment.
- In-depth knowledge of U.S. aviation regulations: FAA Part 145, OSHA standards, and applicable EASA regulations for international operations.
- Ability to plan and coordinate frequent travel (average 3 days per week on-site, with occasional multi-day trips for out-of-state supplier audits).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills to draft clear technical reports and lead meetings with technical teams and external stakeholders.
- Strong ability to resolve complex technical problems under pressure, with meticulous attention to detail and an unwavering commitment to operational safety.

Required technical skills and tools:
- Proficiency in SAP EAM for asset and maintenance operations management.
- Experience using Jira for technical incident and ticket tracking.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Office 365, particularly Excel for maintenance data analysis and PowerPoint for report presentation.
- Ability to read and interpret aerospace technical drawings using AutoCAD.
- Experience with aviation diagnostic tools (test benches, vibration measurement tools, parts lifecycle tracking software).
- Familiarity with aviation regulatory databases (FAA website, Aviation Safety Council databases) is a strong asset.

Compensation and benefits:
We offer a competitive annual salary between $85,000 and $110,000, depending on candidate experience, with an annual performance bonus of up to 10% of base salary. We cover 90% of health insurance premiums for employees and their families, including dental and vision coverage. We offer a retirement savings plan with a 4% employer contribution to base salary, with no eligibility waiting period. All travel expenses (vehicle, accommodation, meals) are fully covered by the company, with a daily per diem of $75 for trips more than 50 miles from headquarters. A company vehicle is provided for all professional travel, and remote work equipment (laptop, monitor, licensed software) is supplied for at-home work days.

Career growth opportunities:
This role offers clear progression paths: after 2 years of experience in the position, you can advance to Maintenance Operations Manager, leading a team of 10 technicians and managing a $2 million annual operational budget. We cover 100% of costs for FAA-certified training courses, and offer internal mobility opportunities to our other U.S. sites or international locations for high-performing employees. We conduct an annual individualized career development interview for every team member to define professional goals and the resources needed to achieve them.

Hiring process and next steps:
1. Submit your CV and a cover letter detailing your aviation maintenance experience and availability for travel to [email protected].
2. 30-minute phone interview with our recruitment manager to confirm alignment between your experience and the role requirements.
3. In-person technical interview at our Louisville headquarters with the Director of Operations and Head of the Mechanical Division, including a case study on resolving a common maintenance incident.
4. Final interview with the AirPro Chief Executive Officer to discuss your career goals and alignment with our company values.
