Hiring Commercial Real Estate Paralegal in Louisville
📍 Louisville, KentuckyFull-timeHybrid📅 11 juin 2026
Description du poste
Randstad USA, a global leader in HR services operating in 39 countries and supporting businesses across all sectors to recruit qualified talent, is currently managing an exclusive mandate for a specialized commercial real estate law firm based in Louisville, Kentucky. This firm handles a high volume of transactions for local small and medium-sized businesses as well as national corporate clients, and is looking for a dedicated Commercial Real Estate Paralegal to join its team of 8 legal professionals. The position offers a salary range of $55,000 to $65,000 per year, adjusted based on your experience and professional qualifications, with a comprehensive benefits package and clear career growth paths.
In this role, you will not carry out generalist paralegal tasks: you will work exclusively on commercial real estate transactions including office spaces, retail units, logistics warehouses, and mixed-use properties, as well as related commercial real estate litigation cases. Your responsibilities will be measurable and tied to clear performance targets:
1. Coordinate end-to-end due diligence for commercial real estate transactions valued between $500,000 and $15 million, verifying property titles, easements, Louisville and Kentucky local regulations, and identifying potential risks within 10 business days per case.
2. Draft and revise 8 to 12 commercial lease agreements and property sale deeds per month, ensuring compliance with Kentucky real estate legislation and client-specific requirements, with an error rate of less than 2% on documents submitted to involved parties.
3. Manage all filings and submissions to Jefferson County courts for commercial real estate litigation cases, adhering to legal deadlines and court procedures, with a 100% on-time filing rate for the team over the past 12 months.
4. Act as the primary point of contact for 12 to 15 active clients, providing regular updates on case progress, responding to inquiries within 4 business hours during office hours, and collecting client feedback to improve team processes.
5. Maintain and update client and property records in Clio and LexisNexis tools, ensuring information accuracy and confidentiality of sensitive data, with all records updated within 24 hours of any action taken on a case.
6. Collaborate with the team of 4 specialized real estate attorneys to prepare litigation case files, gathering supporting evidence, drafting 2 to 3-page summary memos, and preparing presentation materials for court hearings for 2 to 3 litigation cases per month.
7. Conduct legal research on Kentucky-specific commercial real estate law questions using LexisNexis and Westlaw databases, and produce detailed research memos for the attorney team within 3 business days of each request.
8. Participate in weekly team meetings to share updates on ongoing cases, propose process improvements, and coordinate with other departments (accounting, property management) for active transactions.
The work environment is collaborative and low-hierarchy, with no mandatory overtime except for rare court deadlines, notified at least 72 hours in advance. After a 3-month probation period, you will be eligible for 2 remote work days per week, with access to a quiet coworking space if you need to focus on complex cases. The team organizes monthly informal events, and all staff have free access to LinkedIn Learning and Lawline platforms for continuous professional development.
To qualify for this role, you must hold an Associate's degree in Paralegal Studies, Legal Studies, or a related field; a Certified Paralegal (CP) or Registered Paralegal (RP) credential is a strong plus. You need 2 to 4 years of experience working as a paralegal in a commercial real estate law firm or a legal department focused on property transactions. You must have a strong command of legal English, excellent drafting skills, and in-depth knowledge of Kentucky real estate regulations. Proficiency in the following tools is required: Clio (legal case management), LexisNexis and Westlaw (legal research), Microsoft 365 (document drafting and reporting), DocuSign (electronic contract signing), Kentucky Court eFiling system, and QuickBooks (case billing tracking). Soft skills required include rigor, ability to manage 10+ cases in parallel, strong client relationship skills, and strict adherence to deadlines.
In addition to the competitive salary, the benefits package includes: 80% coverage of health insurance premiums for you and your dependents, 15 paid vacation days per year plus 10 paid sick days, 7 paid public holidays, a 401(k) retirement plan with a 4% employer contribution match, up to $1,500 per year reimbursement for professional certification fees, and free access to national commercial real estate law conferences. The firm is growing at 15% annually and plans to expand to Indiana and Ohio by 2026, creating clear growth opportunities: high-performing paralegals can be promoted to Senior Paralegal, Commercial Real Estate Practice Coordinator, or even to associate attorney roles after completing a Juris Doctor degree. You will also have the opportunity to lead training sessions for new junior paralegals after 1 year of tenure.
The hiring process will be completed within 2 weeks maximum, with the following steps: 1) A 30-minute phone interview with Nick Reyes, your Randstad point of contact, to confirm alignment between your experience and the role requirements, scheduled within 3 days of receiving your application. 2) A 45-minute technical interview with the head of the commercial real estate practice to assess your knowledge of Kentucky real estate law and proficiency with legal tools, scheduled within 5 days of the phone interview. 3) A 30-minute final interview with the firm's partners to discuss your career goals and cultural fit with the team, scheduled within 7 days of the technical interview. A formal job offer will be sent within 48 hours of the final interview. To apply, send your updated resume and a short paragraph detailing your relevant experience for this role to [email protected] with the subject line 'Candidature Paralegal Immobilier Commercial Louisville'. You may attach samples of legal documents you have drafted (lease agreements, research memos) if you wish to highlight your relevant skills.
