Hiring Staffing Manager in Louisville
📍 Louisville, Kentucky, Lexington, KentuckyFull-timeHybrid📅 11 juin 2026
Description du poste
LGC Hospitality is a 20-year established recruitment and staffing firm specializing in the hospitality industry across Kentucky, with core operations in Louisville and Lexington. For two decades, we have partnered with over 200 hotels, full-service restaurants, event venues, and catering companies to fill critical operational roles, reduce turnover for our clients, and connect qualified hospitality professionals with long-term career opportunities. Unlike large national staffing agencies that prioritize quantity over quality, we focus on building lasting relationships with both clients and candidates, which has earned us a 92% client retention rate and a 4.8/5 candidate satisfaction score on Glassdoor.
We are currently expanding our recruitment team and hiring experienced Staffing Managers to join our Louisville and Lexington offices. In this role, you will own the full recruitment lifecycle for hospitality roles, from initial client need assessment to post-placement follow-up, while building a robust pipeline of pre-vetted candidates to meet the consistent demand for front desk agents, housekeeping staff, food service workers, event coordinators, and culinary professionals across our client portfolio.
Key responsibilities for this role include:
- Managing end-to-end recruitment processes for hospitality roles across 20+ active client partners in the Louisville and Lexington metro areas, achieving a 95%+ position fill rate within 14 days of client request submission to minimize operational disruptions for our partners
- Sourcing and screening 50+ qualified candidates weekly using LinkedIn Recruiter, industry-specific job boards, local community networks, and university hospitality program partnerships, maintaining a searchable database of 2,000+ pre-vetted candidates with verified work eligibility, safety certifications, and role-specific skills
- Conducting structured competency-based interviews and practical skills assessments for candidates, ensuring alignment with client requirements for availability, experience level, and soft skills, with a goal of reducing 90-day candidate turnover by 15% year-over-year
- Serving as the primary point of contact for 15+ recurring client accounts, conducting bi-weekly check-ins to update on pipeline progress, resolve candidate or placement concerns within 24 business hours, and identify upcoming staffing needs to proactively build candidate pools
- Coordinating full onboarding for newly placed candidates, completing all required I-9 verification, payroll setup, and client orientation scheduling, followed by post-placement check-ins at 7, 30, and 90 days to ensure satisfaction for both the candidate and the client
- Analyzing key recruitment metrics including time-to-hire, cost-per-hire, source effectiveness, and client satisfaction scores, generating weekly performance reports for leadership to refine recruitment strategies and reduce operational costs by 10% annually
- Partnering with the marketing team to promote hard-to-fill roles (including sous chefs, event coordinators, and banquet managers) on social media, local business groups, and industry networking events, with a target of increasing applicant volume by 20% for these specialized positions
- Ensuring full compliance with federal, state, and local labor regulations including the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA), Kentucky wage and hour laws, and OSHA hospitality safety standards, maintaining a 100% compliance record during all internal and external audits
- Mentoring new junior recruiters on best practices for candidate sourcing and client communication, contributing to team training sessions to improve overall recruitment team performance by 10% annually
Our work environment is built on transparency, recognition, and work-life balance. We do not require after-hours work or weekend availability unless you choose to support time-sensitive client events, and we offer a hybrid work model with 3 days of in-office collaboration per week and 2 days of remote administrative work. Our team of 12 recruitment professionals operates in an open, collaborative office space with regular team lunches, quarterly performance bonuses, and access to ongoing professional development resources. We prioritize internal promotion: 80% of our senior leadership roles have been filled by employees who started in entry-level recruitment positions at LGC.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- 3+ years of professional experience in recruitment, talent acquisition, or hospitality operations management
- Proficiency with applicant tracking systems (BambooHR or Greenhouse preferred) and LinkedIn Recruiter for candidate sourcing and pipeline management
- Working knowledge of Kentucky labor laws and hospitality industry staffing requirements, including food safety certifications and background check requirements for hotel and food service roles
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with entry-level candidates and C-level client stakeholders alike
- Demonstrated ability to manage 30+ open requisitions simultaneously in a fast-paced environment, prioritize competing deadlines, and adapt to changing client staffing needs
- Valid driver’s license and reliable personal transportation to travel between client sites in the Louisville and Lexington metro areas for onboarding and client check-ins
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Hospitality Management, or a related field is preferred, but candidates with proven recruitment experience and no formal degree will be considered
This role offers a competitive total compensation package aligned with mid-level recruitment roles in the Kentucky market:
- Base salary between $48,000 and $62,000 annually, adjusted based on years of relevant experience and past recruitment performance
- Monthly performance bonuses of up to 15% of base salary for exceeding fill rate, client retention, and candidate satisfaction targets
- Comprehensive health insurance coverage including medical, dental, and vision, with 90% of premium costs covered by LGC for employees and their enrolled dependents
- 15 days of paid time off (PTO) per year, plus 10 paid company holidays and 5 paid sick days, with additional PTO granted for employees who exceed annual performance goals
- 401(k) retirement plan with a 4% company match, regardless of employee contribution level
- Annual professional development stipend of $1,200 to cover costs for industry certifications (such as SHRM-CP or Certified Hospitality Recruiter), recruitment training, or attendance at national hospitality staffing conferences
- Company-provided laptop and smartphone, plus a $75 monthly cell phone allowance to cover work-related communication costs
Career growth opportunities at LGC Hospitality are structured and transparent. After 2 years of consistent performance meeting or exceeding role targets, you will be eligible for promotion to Senior Staffing Manager, a role that includes leadership of a small recruitment team, a 20% salary increase, and eligibility for quarterly profit-sharing bonuses. We also support internal transfers to our expanding offices in other Kentucky cities, or to corporate roles in recruitment operations, training, or client success if you prefer to shift your focus away from hands-on recruitment.
To apply for this Staffing Manager role, submit your resume directly to [email protected] with the subject line “Staffing Manager Application – [Your Full Name]”. We do not require a formal cover letter; we prioritize demonstrated recruitment results and experience working with hospitality clients over generic application materials. Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis, with interviews scheduled on a weekly basis for qualified candidates.
The hiring process consists of three steps:
1. A 30-minute initial phone screen with Jennifer Sukup, lead recruiter for the Louisville and Lexington markets, to discuss your background, salary expectations, and fit for the role
2. A 60-minute in-person or video interview with the Director of Operations to assess your problem-solving skills, knowledge of hospitality staffing, and approach to client and candidate communication
3. A 30-minute final interview with the LGC Hospitality Chief Operating Officer to discuss long-term career goals, alignment with company values, and any questions you have about the role or team
The full hiring process takes 10 to 14 business days from the date we receive your application. Successful candidates will begin their role within 2 weeks of offer acceptance, with a 5-day paid onboarding training covering LGC’s internal processes, client portfolio details, and best practices for hospitality recruitment.
