Hiring Data Engineer in Louisville

📍 Louisville, KY, USAFull-timeHybrid📅 11 juin 2026

Description du poste

CodeHire Global Solutions INC is a fast-growing global IT consulting firm that partners with enterprise clients across the healthcare, finance, and supply chain sectors to deliver end-to-end data modernization and digital transformation solutions. Our Louisville office, located in the city’s downtown tech corridor, serves as a hub for our U.S. data engineering practice, supporting 20+ mid-sized and enterprise clients with scalable, compliant data infrastructure. We’re currently expanding our local team and hiring a full-time, mid-senior Data Engineer to join our hybrid workforce, with 3 days of in-office work required per week. Relocation support is available for qualified candidates moving to Louisville from out of state.

In this role, you will own the end-to-end development and maintenance of data pipelines, warehousing solutions, and cloud migration projects for a portfolio of high-impact client engagements. You will work closely with a team of 12 data engineers, 4 data scientists, and client-side business stakeholders to deliver data solutions that drive measurable business outcomes, from reducing operational costs to improving customer personalization. This is a hands-on technical role with clear pathways to leadership, ideal for engineers who want to build a portfolio of enterprise-grade work while receiving consistent professional development support.

Your core responsibilities will include:
1. Designing, building, and maintaining end-to-end ETL/ELT pipelines using Apache Airflow, dbt, and Python to process 10+ TB of structured and unstructured client data monthly, with a target of reducing pipeline latency by 25% over 12 months.
2. Optimizing MongoDB and PostgreSQL database performance for client analytics workloads, implementing targeted indexing and query tuning strategies that cut report generation time by 40% for key business intelligence use cases.
3. Developing and maintaining cloud-based data warehousing solutions on AWS Redshift and Snowflake, ensuring 99.9% data availability and full compliance with HIPAA and GDPR standards for regulated industry clients.
4. Collaborating with cross-functional teams of data scientists, business analysts, and client stakeholders to translate business requirements into scalable, cost-effective data architecture, delivering 8-10 client data projects per year on time and within 5% of agreed budget targets.
5. Implementing data governance and quality monitoring frameworks using Great Expectations and Monte Carlo, reducing data error rates in client reporting by 30% within the first 6 months of deployment.
6. Migrating legacy on-premise data infrastructure to AWS or Azure cloud environments for 3-4 mid-sized enterprise clients annually, minimizing downtime to less than 4 hours per migration and achieving 99% data integrity post-migration.
7. Creating clear, detailed technical documentation for all data pipelines, architecture designs, and maintenance procedures, reducing new team member onboarding time by 20% and cutting incident resolution time by 15%.
8. Conducting regular performance audits of existing client data systems, identifying and resolving bottlenecks to support 20% year-over-year growth in client data processing volumes.

Our Louisville office offers a flexible, supportive work environment designed to balance focused technical work with collaborative team engagement. You will have access to an open, sunlit workspace with dedicated quiet zones for deep work, a fully stocked break room with local Louisville coffee and snacks, and regular team events including monthly hackathons, client lunch and learns, and quarterly offsite team building activities. We operate on a flexible core hours model, requiring team members to be online between 9am and 3pm ET for meetings, with the rest of your schedule adjustable to fit your personal needs. We prioritize work-life balance and do not expect after-hours communication unless there is an active, critical system outage.

To qualify for this role, you will need 5 to 7 years of professional experience in data engineering or a closely related technical role, plus a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience). You must have proven experience building and maintaining production-grade ETL/ELT pipelines, strong proficiency in Python and SQL, and hands-on experience with at least one major cloud data platform (AWS, Azure, or GCP). Experience working with MongoDB and NoSQL databases is strongly preferred, as is familiarity with data quality and governance tools like Great Expectations. You should be comfortable communicating technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders, and be authorized to work in the United States (we provide full relocation support for eligible out-of-state candidates).

You will work with a modern, widely adopted tech stack including Python, SQL, Apache Airflow, dbt, MongoDB, PostgreSQL, AWS Redshift, Snowflake, Great Expectations, Monte Carlo, AWS (EC2, S3, Glue), Azure Synapse, Docker, Kubernetes, Git, Jira, and Tableau for reporting integration.

We offer a competitive total rewards package to support your financial, professional, and personal well-being:
- Base salary between $95,000 and $125,000 per year, adjusted based on your years of experience and technical qualifications
- Comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance with 90% of employee premiums covered and 50% of dependent premiums covered
- 401(k) retirement plan with a 4% company match, regardless of your personal contribution rate
- 15 days of paid time off per year, plus 10 paid company holidays and 5 paid volunteer days annually
- $3,000 annual professional development stipend to cover certification exams, online courses, conference tickets, and other learning resources
- $1,500 one-time home office equipment allowance for hybrid team members
- Relocation package up to $10,000 for eligible new hires moving to Louisville from outside the state, covering moving costs, temporary housing, and travel expenses
- Commuter benefits for in-office days, including free parking in the downtown office garage and pre-tax transit passes
- 12 weeks of paid parental leave for eligible employees, plus 2 weeks of paid caregiver leave per year

This role also offers clear, structured career growth opportunities for high-performing team members. You will have access to internal training programs for in-demand cloud certifications (AWS, Azure, Snowflake) with all exam fees covered, and will be paired with a senior data architect mentor to support your skill development. High performers can progress to Senior Data Engineer within 18-24 months, with additional pathways to Data Architect, Data Practice Lead, or Solutions Architect roles within 2-3 years. You will also have opportunities to lead client projects, contribute to our internal open source data tooling, and speak at our annual internal tech conference to build your professional brand.

4. Technical interview: A 60-minute interview with 2 members of our data engineering team, where you will walk through your assessment, discuss your technical decision-making, and answer questions related to data pipeline design, cloud data platforms, and database optimization.
5. Final interviews: A 45-minute interview with our Data Practice Director to discuss team fit, long-term career goals, and the client projects you would work on, followed by a 30-minute call with our HR business partner to review benefits, compensation, and company policies.
