Hiring Supply Chain Analyst in Louisville

📍 Louisville, KY, USAFull-timeHybrid📅 11 juin 2026

Description du poste

Actalent Services is a specialized staffing and recruitment firm that partners with leading manufacturing, logistics, and distribution companies across the Greater Louisville area, a region recognized as a top U.S. hub for supply chain operations with over 200 major industrial sites and 100,000+ supply chain professionals. We are currently supporting a fast-growing manufacturing client operating a 500-employee production and distribution site in Louisville, KY, that has seen an 18% increase in order volume over the past 12 months, creating an immediate need for a detail-oriented, metrics-driven Supply Chain Analyst to join their operations team.

This hybrid role requires 3 days per week on-site at the Louisville facility, with 2 days of remote work weekly, and reports directly to the Supply Chain Manager. The core mission of the position is to optimize end-to-end supply chain performance, reduce operational costs, and improve service levels for the client’s national and international customer base.

Key measurable responsibilities for this role include:
1. Analyze end-to-end supply chain performance data, track core KPIs (order fill rate, on-time delivery, inventory turnover, and lead time variance), and produce weekly actionable reports for operational teams and executive leadership, with a target of 5% improvement in overall supply chain performance metrics within the first 6 months of tenure.
2. Coordinate cross-functionally with production, procurement, and logistics teams to resolve operational bottlenecks, reduce delivery delays by 10% within the first 6 months of the role, and implement corrective actions for recurring process gaps.
3. Optimize stock levels for the site’s 200 active product SKUs using demand forecasting models and inventory optimization frameworks, with a target of reducing inventory holding costs by 7% without impacting product availability or customer service levels.
4. Support the implementation and ongoing optimization of the SAP S/4HANA ERP module for supply chain management, train 15 internal end-users on system best practices, and resolve supply chain-related system tickets within 24 business hours of reported issues.
5. Collaborate with suppliers and third-party logistics providers to negotiate delivery timelines, pricing terms, and contingency plans for disruptions (transport delays, raw material quality issues, or demand spikes), with a target of reducing annual logistics costs by 3% while maintaining service level agreements (SLAs).
6. Conduct monthly audits of inventory management and order processing workflows, identify process improvement opportunities, and propose data-backed action plans with clear ROI projections, tracking implementation progress and realized gains on a quarterly basis.
7. Participate in weekly demand review meetings with commercial and sales teams, update 3, 6, and 12-month sales forecasts, and adjust procurement and production plans accordingly to maintain a minimum customer service level of 98%.
8. Manage supply chain incidents by conducting root cause analysis, implementing corrective and preventive actions, and communicating impact and resolution timelines to internal and external stakeholders within 4 business hours of incident detection.

The client’s workplace culture is built on continuous improvement, with no rigid hierarchical barriers: teams operate in agile project squads, and performance is evaluated based on measurable results rather than hours worked, with no presenteeism expectations. The Louisville site features a modern coworking space for remote work days, with full access to all required tools and collaborative platforms. The supply chain team of 8 employees operates with a supportive, mentorship-focused manager who prioritizes skill development, and the company offers regular internal training on supply chain best practices, cross-team knowledge sharing sessions, and a formal recognition program for employees who deliver measurable operational improvements. Flexible working hours are available, with core collaboration hours of 10am to 3pm, allowing employees to adjust their schedule between 7am and 6pm to accommodate personal commitments.

Candidate requirements for this role are as follows:
- 2+ years of professional experience as a supply chain analyst, with preferred experience in a manufacturing environment and a proven track record of analyzing logistics, inventory, and demand data to drive operational improvements.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VBA macros, advanced statistical functions), experience with business intelligence tools (Power BI or Tableau) for dashboard creation, and working knowledge of SQL for database extraction and analysis.
- Hands-on experience with ERP systems, preferably SAP S/4HANA or Oracle, and familiarity with supply chain process frameworks (APICS, Lean, Six Sigma).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable insights for non-technical stakeholders.
- Excellent cross-functional collaboration skills, with experience working with production, procurement, sales, and logistics teams to align on priorities and resolve operational issues.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with experience producing formal reports and presenting findings to executive leadership.
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Business Administration, or a related field. Professional certifications including CPIM, CSCP, or CLTD are considered a strong plus.

Compensation and benefits for this role are competitive within the Louisville market:
- Annual base salary between $58,000 and $72,000, adjusted based on relevant experience and technical skills, with an annual performance review and potential salary increase of 3-7% for strong results.
- 80% employer contribution to health insurance premiums for employees and their dependents, with options for dental, vision, and life insurance coverage.
- 4% employer match on employee 401(k) contributions, with immediate vesting.
- 15 days of paid time off (PTO) per year, plus 10 paid sick days and 12 paid company holidays.
- Annual $2,000 professional development budget per employee, covering training courses, professional certifications, industry conferences, or related learning opportunities.
- 2 days of remote work per week, with company-provided equipment (laptop, headset, access to Microsoft 365 and collaborative tools).
- Transportation reimbursement for on-site work days, and access to a free on-site gym and cafeteria at the Louisville facility.

Career growth opportunities for this role are clearly defined: high-performing analysts are eligible for promotion to Supply Chain Team Lead or Logistics Project Manager roles within 18-24 months, with corresponding salary increases of 15-20%. The company offers a personalized career development plan for every employee, with bi-annual career check-ins, opportunities to work on cross-functional projects with quality, production, and commercial teams to build multidisciplinary skills, and full coverage of CPIM, CSCP, or CLTD certification costs for employees who meet performance thresholds. Actalent Services also offers internal mobility opportunities to work with other manufacturing or supply chain clients across the U.S. for employees seeking to expand their experience.

The recruitment process for this role is designed to be transparent and efficient, with a maximum timeline of 2 weeks from application to offer:
1. 30-minute initial phone screen with Olivia Rivers, Actalent Services recruiter, to discuss your experience, career goals, and role details.
2. 45-minute technical interview with the Louisville site Supply Chain Manager, to assess your technical supply chain skills, experience with relevant tools, and fit with the team.
3. 30-minute final interview with the Site Director of Operations, to discuss role expectations, career growth paths, and answer any remaining questions.

Candidates who receive an offer will receive a formal written offer within 48 hours of the final interview, with a 5-business-day response window.
