Hiring Supply Chain Analyst in Louisville
📍 Louisville, KY, USAFull-timeHybrid📅 11 juin 2026
Description du poste
Actalent Services, a specialized recruitment firm with 12 years of experience placing supply chain and operations talent in manufacturing sites across the Midwest United States, is partnering with a leading automotive parts manufacturer based in the Greater Louisville Area to fill a permanent hybrid Supply Chain Analyst position. This client operates a 250,000 square foot production facility in Louisville employing 520 people, producing high-precision components for major North American automotive brands, and is currently undergoing a digital transformation of its supply chain operations to reduce lead times and improve inventory accuracy.
In this role, you will report directly to the Supply Chain Manager and work closely with cross-functional teams including procurement, production, warehouse operations, and logistics providers to optimize end-to-end supply chain performance for the Louisville site. Your work will directly impact the facility’s ability to meet customer delivery commitments, reduce operational costs, and minimize production downtime caused by supply chain disruptions.
Your core responsibilities will include:
1. Analyze end-to-end supply chain data (inbound raw material flows, work-in-process inventory, finished goods distribution) using SAP S/4HANA and advanced Excel (including VBA macros and pivot tables) to identify bottlenecks and inefficiencies, with a target to reduce overall order fulfillment lead time by 15% within your first 12 months.
2. Monitor raw material and finished goods inventory levels daily, implement automated stockout alert systems, and collaborate with procurement teams to adjust reorder points, with a goal of reducing production stoppages due to material shortages by 10% annually.
3. Evaluate supplier and third-party logistics provider performance on a monthly basis, build and maintain KPI dashboards in Power BI tracking on-time delivery rates, defect rates, and cost per unit shipped, and lead quarterly business reviews with top 10 suppliers to drive a 12% year-over-year improvement in supplier compliance.
4. Support the site’s ongoing warehouse optimization project by auditing existing receiving, storage, and picking processes in the Manhattan Associates Warehouse Management System (WMS), proposing process adjustments, and tracking implementation results to increase warehouse team productivity by 10% within 18 months.
5. Develop and run scenario planning models for seasonal production peaks (spring automotive production ramp-up, Q4 consumer parts demand surge) to recommend resource allocation, temporary staffing, and logistics capacity adjustments, targeting an 8% annual reduction in unplanned logistics overspend.
6. Create weekly and monthly supply chain performance reports for site leadership, translating complex operational data into actionable insights and recommendations for non-supply chain stakeholders including the plant manager and finance team.
7. Train new warehouse and logistics team members on standard operating procedures, KPI tracking tools, and WMS navigation, with a target to reduce new hire onboarding time for operational roles by 20%.
8. Lead continuous improvement initiatives aligned with the site’s Lean manufacturing goals, including 5S audits of supply chain workspaces and value stream mapping of high-volume product lines, to reduce waste in supply chain processes by 5% per year.
The work environment for this role is hybrid, with 3 days per week required on-site at the Louisville facility located in the Fern Creek industrial park (20 minutes from downtown Louisville, with free on-site parking) and 2 days of remote work per week for focused data analysis and report writing. The supply chain team of 8 people operates in a flat, collaborative structure with minimal hierarchy, and all team members are encouraged to propose and test process improvement ideas. The site offers a casual dress code, a fully equipped break room with complimentary coffee and snacks, and monthly team building events including volunteer opportunities with local Louisville community organizations. You will have access to LinkedIn Learning for professional development, and the client covers all costs for supply chain-related certifications including APICS CPIM.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A minimum of 2 years of professional experience in supply chain analysis, logistics coordination, or operations roles within a manufacturing environment
- A bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including experience building VBA macros, pivot tables, and complex forecasting models
- Hands-on experience using SAP S/4HANA for supply chain data extraction and analysis
- Strong analytical skills and experience working with large datasets to identify trends and root causes of performance issues
- Excellent cross-functional communication skills, with the ability to explain technical supply chain concepts to non-specialist stakeholders
- A valid driver’s license for occasional site visits to nearby supplier or customer locations (less than 15% of total work time)
- Experience with Manhattan Associates WMS or Power BI is a strong plus, but not required
In addition to a competitive annual salary ranging from $58,000 to $72,000 USD (depending on your years of experience and technical skill set), this role includes a comprehensive benefits package:
- 80% of premium costs for medical, dental, and vision health insurance covered by the employer, with low employee contribution rates
- 15 days of paid time off per year, plus 10 paid company holidays and unlimited paid sick leave with no required documentation
- 4% employer match on your 401(k) retirement savings plan, with immediate vesting
- Annual performance bonuses of up to 10% of your base salary, tied to individual and site-wide supply chain performance metrics
- $200 annual stipend for professional development, certification exam fees, or industry conference attendance
- Access to free on-site fitness center and discounted gym memberships at local Louisville fitness chains
