Description du poste
AirPro is a leading global aerospace maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) provider specializing in commercial and defense aircraft component services, with corporate headquarters in Louisville, Kentucky, and regional plant sites across the Midwest. Serving over 200 airline, cargo, and defense clients worldwide, we prioritize safety, regulatory compliance, and on-time delivery to minimize client aircraft downtime and support global aviation operations. We are currently hiring an experienced Aerospace Supply Chain & Operations Specialist to join our hybrid team based in Louisville, KY, supporting end-to-end supply chain workflows across our corporate headquarters, regional plant sites, approved supplier facilities, and mechanical division. This role requires frequent travel to on-site locations, with 3 days per week required on-site at our Louisville headquarters or regional plant sites, and the remaining 2 days available for remote work, plus up to 25% travel for supplier audits, cross-team alignment, and urgent AOG (Aircraft on Ground) support. Key responsibilities for this role include: 1. Coordinate end-to-end supply chain operations for aerospace MRO parts, managing procurement, inventory, and logistics workflows across 3 regional Kentucky plant sites and 12+ approved domestic and international supplier facilities, with a target of reducing average part lead times by 15% within the first 6 months of tenure. 2. Serve as the primary point of contact between the mechanical division, corporate operations, and external suppliers, resolving part availability, quality, and delivery issues within 24 business hours to avoid unplanned aircraft downtime for clients. 3. Maintain and update SAP S/4HANA ERP records for all incoming, outgoing, and in-process aerospace parts, ensuring 99.8% data accuracy for regulatory audits, client reporting, and inventory reconciliation. 4. Conduct quarterly on-site audits of supplier facilities and plant sites, evaluating compliance with FAA Part 145, EASA Part 21, and internal AirPro quality standards, documenting findings and driving corrective action plans to close 100% of identified gaps within 30 days of audit completion. 5. Manage cross-functional project workflows in Jira for new client onboarding, part repair program launches, and process improvement initiatives, delivering 95% of project milestones on or ahead of schedule. 6. Track and report on key supply chain KPIs including on-time delivery (OTD) rates, inventory turnover, and backorder levels, presenting weekly performance updates to the operations leadership team with actionable, data-backed recommendations for process optimization. 7. Coordinate domestic and international logistics for time-sensitive aerospace parts, working with approved freight forwarders and customs brokers to ensure clearance and delivery within 48 hours for high-priority AOG scenarios. 8. Support the mechanical division with daily parts requisition requests, prioritizing urgent AOG orders and escalating bottlenecks to leadership to minimize client aircraft downtime and meet service level agreements. The ideal work environment for this role is fast-paced, collaborative, and focused on continuous improvement: you will work alongside a team of 25+ supply chain, operations, quality, and mechanical specialists, with regular cross-departmental alignment sessions and monthly innovation workshops to streamline workflows. Required qualifications for this role include 3-5 years of professional experience in aerospace supply chain, MRO operations, or related manufacturing logistics roles, a Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Aerospace Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field, and proficiency in SAP S/4HANA and Jira project management software. Candidates must be willing to travel up to 25% of the time, including occasional overnight travel to supplier and plant sites across the Midwest, and hold a valid U.S. driver’s license. Preferred qualifications include formal training in FAA Part 145 or Part 21 regulatory requirements, prior experience working with aerospace OEMs including Boeing, Airbus, and GE Aviation, and advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (Power Query, PivotTables, VLOOKUP) for KPI reporting and data analysis. In terms of compensation and benefits, we offer a competitive base salary ranging from $72,000 to $88,000 annually, adjusted for candidate experience and qualifications, plus a performance-based annual bonus of up to 10% of base salary tied to individual and team KPI achievement. Benefits include comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance with 90% of premium costs covered by the company for employees and their dependents, a 401(k) retirement plan with a 4% company match, 15 days of paid time off plus 10 paid company holidays per year, and a $2,000 annual professional development stipend that can be used for industry certifications, conference attendance, or continuing education courses. We also provide a monthly travel stipend of $300 to cover fuel, lodging, and meal costs for required on-site travel, and reimburse all work-related travel expenses in full per company policy. This role offers clear, structured pathways for career advancement: high-performing specialists are eligible for promotion to Senior Supply Chain Specialist, Supply Chain Manager, or Director of Operations roles within 2-3 years of tenure, with tailored professional development plans created for each employee to support their growth goals. You will have access to exclusive aerospace industry training programs, including FAA regulatory compliance courses and leadership development workshops, as well as regular cross-departmental shadowing opportunities with our mechanical division and quality teams to build cross-functional expertise. Top performers are also eligible for company-sponsored tuition reimbursement for advanced degrees in supply chain management or aerospace engineering. The hiring process for this role consists of three sequential steps: an initial 30-minute phone screening with our Talent Acquisition team to discuss your experience and role expectations, a 1-hour virtual interview with the Supply Chain Operations Manager and Senior Mechanical Division Lead to assess technical skills and cultural fit, and a final 30-minute in-person interview at our Louisville headquarters with the Director of Operations to review role details and answer any final questions. The full process typically takes 7-10 business days to complete, with an expected start date of 30 days from offer acceptance.
