Hiring Supply Chain Analyst in Louisville

📍 Louisville, KYFull-timeHybrid📅 11 juin 2026

Description du poste

Actalent is a leading global staffing and solutions firm that partners with manufacturing, logistics, and industrial clients across the U.S. to place skilled professionals in roles that drive tangible operational improvements. For this opening, we are supporting a Fortune 500 industrial manufacturing client based in the Greater Louisville Area, a company that has operated in the region for over 40 years producing specialized automotive and industrial components for global markets. This is not a generic administrative support role: you will be embedded directly in the client’s supply chain operations team, working on end-to-end processes that impact $200M+ in annual inventory value and on-time delivery metrics for 150+ B2B clients across North America.

We are seeking a detail-oriented, analytically driven Supply Chain Analyst to join the client’s hybrid operations team, reporting directly to the Director of Supply Chain. In this role, you will bridge gaps between procurement, production planning, logistics, and sales teams to optimize end-to-end supply chain performance, reduce operational waste, and improve customer satisfaction scores. Unlike entry-level supply chain roles that focus only on data entry, this position gives you ownership of cross-functional process improvement projects, with direct visibility to senior leadership on a quarterly basis.

Core measurable responsibilities for this role include:
1. Own and update demand forecasting models for 12 product lines, leveraging historical sales data, market trend analysis, and input from the sales team to reduce forecast error by at least 8% within the first 6 months of tenure.
2. Monitor inventory levels across 3 regional distribution centers and the main Louisville production facility, implementing reorder point adjustments and safety stock protocols to reduce excess inventory holding costs by 5% annually while maintaining 98%+ in-stock rates for high-priority customer orders.
3. Coordinate end-to-end logistics for outbound customer shipments, working directly with 3rd party carriers to resolve delivery exceptions, track on-time delivery (OTD) performance, and report weekly OTD metrics to the operations leadership team, with a target of maintaining 97% OTD across all customer segments.
4. Analyze production scheduling data to identify bottlenecks in the manufacturing workflow, collaborate with production managers to adjust shift schedules and material allocation, and reduce production lead times by 3 days for top-selling product lines by the end of the first year.
5. Maintain and update the client’s ERP system (Oracle SCM Cloud) with accurate inventory, order, and shipment data, conduct monthly audits of ERP data integrity to reduce data entry errors by 15% within the first 9 months.
6. Lead monthly cross-functional supply chain review meetings with procurement, production, and sales teams to align on demand plans, resolve supply chain disruptions, and document action items for continuous improvement initiatives, with a target of resolving 90% of identified supply chain gaps within 30 days of identification.
7. Develop and maintain Power BI dashboards for real-time tracking of key supply chain KPIs (inventory turns, forecast accuracy, OTD, lead times), replacing the client’s legacy manual Excel reporting process to reduce weekly reporting time for the supply chain team by 10 hours per week.
8. Support annual supplier performance reviews, analyzing supplier on-time delivery, quality, and cost metrics to identify underperforming vendors and recommend process adjustments or vendor changes to reduce supply chain risk.

The client’s Louisville office is a 50-person supply chain and operations hub located in downtown Louisville, with easy access to public transit and on-site parking available for hybrid team members. The team culture is collaborative and low-ego, with no "that’s not my job" mindset: analysts are encouraged to bring forward process improvement ideas even if they fall outside their core job description. The hybrid schedule requires 3 days per week in the office for cross-functional meetings and project workshops, with 2 days per week remote for focused data analysis and reporting work. The client prioritizes work-life balance, with a strict no-email policy after 6PM local time for non-exempt roles, and flexible start times between 7AM and 9AM to accommodate personal schedules. The team also hosts quarterly offsites for process improvement brainstorming, with lunch and learning sessions provided for all supply chain team members.

To qualify for this role, you must have at least 2 years of full-time professional experience in a supply chain, operations, or logistics role within a manufacturing environment. Experience in the automotive, industrial components, or consumer packaged goods manufacturing sectors is a strong plus. You must be proficient in Microsoft Excel (including VLOOKUP, pivot tables, and advanced data visualization functions) and have experience working with at least one ERP system (Oracle, SAP, or NetSuite). Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are required, as you will be expected to identify root causes of supply chain disruptions and develop data-backed recommendations for process improvements. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are also required, as you will be presenting findings to cross-functional teams and senior leadership on a regular basis.

Required technical tools and proficiencies for this role include:
- Oracle SCM Cloud ERP system (or equivalent experience with SAP S/4HANA or NetSuite)
- Advanced Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, INDEX/MATCH, data visualization)
- Power BI or Tableau for dashboard development
- Microsoft PowerPoint for presentation of findings to leadership
- Experience with Lean manufacturing or Six Sigma process improvement methodologies is a strong plus.

This role offers a competitive base salary between $62,000 and $78,000 per year, depending on years of relevant experience and proficiency with required technical tools. In addition to base pay, all full-time employees placed by Actalent for this client are eligible for:
- Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance with 90% of premium costs covered by the client for employees, and 70% covered for dependents
- 10 paid vacation days per year, plus 10 paid company holidays and 5 paid sick days annually
- 401(k) retirement plan with a 4% employer match, vested immediately
- Annual professional development stipend of $1,500 to cover supply chain certification courses (e.g., APICS CPIM, Lean Six Sigma Green Belt) or conference attendance
- Hybrid work schedule with 2 remote days per week, no required after-hours work for non-exempt roles
- Performance-based bonus of up to 10% of base salary annually, tied to individual and team supply chain KPI performance
- Access to Actalent’s exclusive candidate resource portal, with free access to supply chain industry webinars, networking events, and job placement support for future career moves.

This role is designed as a mid-level position with a clear path for advancement within the client’s supply chain team. High-performing analysts are typically promoted to Senior Supply Chain Analyst within 18-24 months, with a salary increase of 10-15% and increased ownership of cross-functional process improvement projects. For analysts interested in leadership tracks, there is a path to Supply Chain Team Lead or Manager of Supply Chain Operations within 3-5 years, with additional leadership training and mentorship provided by the client’s operations leadership team. Actalent also provides ongoing career coaching for all placed candidates, with quarterly check-ins to discuss career goals, skill development needs, and potential internal or external opportunities as you grow in your career.
