Description du poste

About BrightSol AI
BrightSol AI is a fast-growing enterprise technology firm building custom agentic AI platforms, legacy system modernization tools, and SaaS quality assurance suites for Fortune 500 clients across healthcare, supply chain logistics, and financial services. Our Phoenix, Arizona office serves as our North American product engineering and client support hub, home to 120+ cross-functional engineers, product managers, and client success specialists focused on delivering high-impact, scalable technology solutions. We prioritize hands-on problem solving over bureaucratic process, with a flat hierarchy that lets senior engineers directly shape product roadmaps and client solution design.

Role Overview
We are currently hiring for four senior, individual contributor eligible technical roles in our Phoenix office, all focused on scaling our core AI and enterprise software product lines: GCP/AI Engineer (Agentic AI), Senior Java Backend Developer, Senior Technical Support Engineer (Desktop & End User Support), and Senior QA Automation Engineer (Mobile & Web Applications). All roles are hybrid, with 3 core in-office days per week in downtown Phoenix and optional remote work 2 days per week; candidates based outside the Phoenix metro area may be eligible for a fully remote arrangement with occasional travel to the Phoenix office for quarterly team meetings. These are permanent full-time roles with a clear path to senior staff/principal individual contributor tracks or engineering management, depending on your career goals.

Key Responsibilities
All roles include measurable, client-impact focused responsibilities aligned with BrightSol's product and client delivery goals:
1. GCP/AI Engineer (Agentic AI): Design, build, and deploy scalable agentic AI workflows on GCP (Vertex AI, BigQuery, Cloud Run) for client use cases in healthcare claims processing and supply chain optimization, targeting 30% reduction in manual processing time for all deployed use cases. Optimize LLM inference pipelines using quantization and LoRA fine-tuning to reduce per-query compute costs by 25% while maintaining 95% accuracy on domain-specific client tasks. Collaborate with backend and QA teams to integrate AI agent APIs into existing Java microservices, ensuring end-to-end latency under 200ms for 99% of user requests. Maintain GCP infrastructure for AI workloads with automated Cloud Monitoring and Alerting, achieving 99.95% uptime for all production AI services. Lead technical design reviews for new agentic AI features, mentoring 2-3 junior engineers on GCP best practices and LLM application development.
2. Senior Java Backend Developer: Build and maintain high-throughput Java microservices (Spring Boot, Quarkus) for BrightSol's enterprise SaaS platform, supporting 10,000+ concurrent users with sub-100ms response times for critical API endpoints. Migrate legacy monolithic on-premise client systems to cloud-native Java microservices, reducing client infrastructure costs by an average of 40% post-migration. Optimize database queries and caching strategies (Redis, PostgreSQL) to reduce API latency by 20% for high-traffic endpoints, and resolve critical production incidents within 30 minutes of alerting. Collaborate with AI engineering teams to integrate agentic AI capabilities into existing backend services, building REST and gRPC APIs that adhere to OpenAPI 3.0 standards. Write comprehensive unit, integration, and load tests using JUnit and Gatling, achieving 90%+ code coverage for all new feature deployments.
3. Senior Technical Support Engineer (Desktop & End User Support): Provide tier 2 and 3 support for 500+ enterprise client end users across North America, resolving 95% of critical (P1) support tickets within 1 hour of escalation, and 100% of P1 tickets within 4 hours. Manage and troubleshoot desktop and endpoint environments for remote and in-office client teams, including Windows 11, macOS, and Linux systems, as well as SaaS tools like Salesforce, Zendesk, and Microsoft 365. Document common support issues and build self-service knowledge base articles for clients, reducing repeat support ticket volume by 15% quarter over quarter. Collaborate with engineering and product teams to escalate and track product bugs in Jira, validating fixes and communicating resolution timelines to affected clients within 2 hours of bug confirmation.
4. Senior QA Automation Engineer (Mobile & Web Applications): Build and maintain end-to-end test automation frameworks for web (React, Angular) and mobile (iOS, Android) applications using Selenium, Cypress, and Appium, achieving 85% test automation coverage for all new feature releases. Execute regression, performance, and security testing for bi-weekly product releases, identifying and documenting 90% of critical bugs before production deployment. Integrate automated test suites into the CI/CD pipeline (GitLab CI, Jenkins) to run on every pull request, reducing manual QA testing time by 30% per release cycle. Perform load testing for web and mobile applications using k6 and JMeter, ensuring systems can handle 20,000 concurrent users without performance degradation. Collaborate with product and engineering teams to define acceptance criteria for new features, and lead UAT sessions with enterprise clients to validate feature functionality pre-launch.

Work Environment & Culture
Our Phoenix office is located in downtown Phoenix with easy access to public transit and on-site parking, and offers a flexible work schedule with core hours of 10am-3pm MST to accommodate different working styles. We prioritize work-life balance above all else: non-engineering support roles have no mandatory after-hours on-call requirements, and our technical support on-call rotation includes 1:1 compensatory time off for every hour of on-call work outside of regular business hours. We host monthly tech talks led by our engineering team, quarterly 24-hour hackathons with cash prizes for winning ideas, and an annual 3-day team offsite in locations across the Southwest. All employees have access to a fully stocked office kitchen, standing desks, and private phone booths for client calls.

We provide biannual performance reviews with personalized development plans tailored to your career goals, and sponsor certifications for GCP, AWS, Java, QA automation, and AI development tools to help you build in-demand skills. After 1 year of tenure, senior engineers are eligible for internal mobility to move between teams if you want to explore work in AI, backend development, technical support, or QA. Hiring Process & Next Steps
The full hiring process for all roles takes 7-10 business days from initial application to offer, and we provide written feedback to all candidates regardless of advancement status. The process includes four stages:
1. Initial 30-minute phone screen with a member of our recruiting team to discuss your experience, salary expectations, and interest in BrightSol's work.
2. 60-minute technical interview with a senior engineer on the relevant team, including a live coding or scenario-based problem solving exercise tailored to the role (e.g., designing a GCP agentic AI workflow for GCP/AI roles, debugging a Java microservice performance issue for backend roles, resolving a simulated enterprise support ticket for support roles, building a test automation script for a mobile app feature for QA roles).
3. 60-minute behavioral interview with the hiring manager to discuss your past project experience, collaboration style, and alignment with BrightSol's values of transparency, client impact, and continuous learning.
4. Final 30-minute interview with the department director to discuss team goals, career growth opportunities, and any final questions you have.

To apply, please send your resume and a brief 1-2 paragraph note explaining which role(s) you are interested in and a recent project you are proud of related to the role to Ritik Sheth, Head of Talent Acquisition at BrightSol, at [email protected]. We review all applications within 2 business days and will reach out to qualified candidates to schedule the initial phone screen.
