Wise Staffing Group is a leading U.S.-based staffing and recruitment firm with over 20 years of experience connecting top talent with companies across logistics, healthcare, manufacturing, professional services, and administrative sectors. Operating in more than 30 states with a network of 50+ local offices, the company is recognized for its transparent approach, personalized candidate support, and data-driven matching process that reduces client turnover rates by an average of 35% compared to industry standards. Our core mission is to create win-win partnerships: we help businesses fill critical roles quickly while supporting job seekers in finding roles aligned with their skills, experience, and career goals. The Phoenix office, located in the downtown core, serves a diverse portfolio of 200+ active clients ranging from small local businesses to Fortune 500 regional headquarters.

We are currently hiring an Area Sales Manager for the Phoenix, Arizona market to lead the expansion of our client portfolio in this high-growth region. This full-time role offers a competitive base salary of up to $115,000 annually (adjusted based on your years of sales experience and existing knowledge of the Phoenix business landscape) plus uncapped weekly commissions, a rare benefit in the staffing industry that allows top performers to earn a total annual compensation of $200,000 or more. You will report directly to the Regional Sales Director for the Southwest, and will work closely with a team of 5 dedicated recruiters based in the Phoenix office to deliver tailored staffing solutions to local businesses.

Key responsibilities for this role include:
1. Prospect 15 to 20 new target businesses per week across the Phoenix metro area and surrounding 100-mile radius, targeting small to medium-sized enterprises and large accounts in logistics, healthcare, manufacturing, and professional services, via outbound calls, on-site visits, local professional networking events, and targeted email campaigns, to grow the office’s active client base by 25% in your first year.
2. Conduct discovery calls and on-site meetings with 10+ decision-makers per week (HR leaders, operations directors, C-suite executives) to identify client hiring needs, including role types, volume, timelines, and specific requirements, and present tailored Wise Staffing Group service offerings, with a target of signing 10 new client contracts per month.
3. Manage the full sales cycle from initial prospecting to contract signature, including creating customized commercial proposals, negotiating rates and partnership terms, and finalizing agreements, to hit an annual revenue target of $1.2 million for the Phoenix territory.
4. Maintain regular contact with all active clients, with a minimum of 2 touchpoints per month per client (follow-up calls, on-site check-ins, candidate placement performance reports) to boost client retention rates to 90%+ and grow recurring contract revenue by 20% year-over-year.
5. Collaborate daily with the Phoenix recruitment team to align on open roles, prioritize urgent hiring requests, and provide joint status updates on candidate pipelines, reducing average time-to-fill for client roles by 30% compared to regional staffing industry benchmarks.
6. Analyze weekly and monthly sales performance using the Salesforce CRM, track prospect pipeline progress, identify gaps in your prospecting strategy, and present performance updates to the regional sales director during weekly team meetings to continuously refine your approach.
7. Represent Wise Staffing Group at a minimum of 2 local professional events per month (industry job fairs, HR association meetups, sector-specific breakfasts) to boost brand visibility in the Phoenix market and generate 15+ new qualified leads per event.
8. Mentor and train new junior recruiters joining the Phoenix office on client communication best practices and relationship management, to improve overall client satisfaction scores by 15% annually.

Our Phoenix office is designed to support both focused work and team collaboration, with open workstations, private meeting rooms for client calls, a fully stocked break room with free coffee, snacks, and catering for team lunches twice a week. Our team culture prioritizes transparency, mutual support, and recognition of performance: top sales performers are highlighted in monthly all-team meetings, and we host quarterly team building events (escape rooms, sports outings, volunteer days) to strengthen team cohesion. We do not enforce a rigid one-size-fits-all work schedule: as long as you hit your performance targets and attend required team meetings, you have flexibility to organize your week between client visits, remote work, and office time. New hires receive a 3-month structured onboarding program, with a dedicated mentor from the sales leadership team to help you ramp up your client portfolio and master our internal tools and processes.
