We are hiring an experienced Area Sales Manager for the Phoenix metropolitan area, responsible for driving revenue growth by building and managing a portfolio of B2B staffing clients across the region. This role offers a competitive base salary of up to $115,000 annually, adjusted based on years of relevant sales experience and existing client portfolio, plus an uncapped commission structure paid weekly. Top performers in this role consistently earn total annual compensation of $175,000-$205,000.

Key responsibilities for this role include:
1. Develop and execute a 90-day territory sales plan for the Phoenix metropolitan area, targeting 15-20 new B2B client accounts per quarter across healthcare, manufacturing, logistics, and corporate services sectors, aligned with regional labor market demand data provided by the company’s market research team.
2. Manage an existing portfolio of 30+ active staffing clients, conducting weekly check-ins and quarterly business reviews to maintain a 90%+ client retention rate, and identify upsell opportunities to expand client use of temporary, temp-to-hire, and direct placement staffing solutions.
3. Negotiate and close staffing service contracts with an average contract value of $15,000+ per quarter, ensuring all pricing aligns with company margin targets of 35% or higher for every placed role.
4. Partner with the internal recruitment and operations teams to ensure 95% of client open positions are filled within 7 business days of contract signing, meeting client SLA requirements and reducing average time-to-hire for client roles by 20% compared to industry averages.
5. Generate 40+ qualified sales leads per month through cold outreach to local businesses, attendance at 2-3 local industry networking events, and referral partnerships with local chambers of commerce and business associations, maintaining a lead-to-close conversion rate of 25% or higher.
6. Prepare and present weekly sales forecasts and territory performance reports to the regional sales director, including pipeline analysis, revenue projections, and local market trend insights to inform regional go-to-market strategies.
7. Represent Wise Staffing Group at 2 local industry events, job fairs, and chamber of commerce meetings per month to build brand awareness and generate new business leads in the Phoenix area.
8. Mentor and train 2-3 junior sales associates on territory best practices, lead generation tactics, and client relationship management, contributing to a 15% increase in junior associate sales performance per quarter.

This is a hybrid role, with 3 days per week spent in our downtown Phoenix office and 2 days remote for client meetings, administrative work, and lead generation. Our sales team culture is collaborative and low-micromanagement: we prioritize results over hours worked, with weekly team syncs to share wins and challenges, monthly sales contests with cash and experience prizes, and access to a dedicated sales enablement team to support contract negotiations and client pitch development. Ideal candidates will have 3-5 years of B2B sales experience, preferably in staffing, recruitment, or HR services, with a proven track record of exceeding annual sales targets by at least 10% in previous roles. Familiarity with the Phoenix metro business landscape, including existing relationships in local healthcare, manufacturing, or logistics sectors, is a strong plus. You must be proficient in CRM software (we use HubSpot and Salesforce Sales Cloud), LinkedIn Sales Navigator, and Microsoft Office 365, with excellent negotiation, client relationship management, and public speaking skills. This role requires travel within the Phoenix metro area for client meetings up to 30% of work hours, a valid driver’s license, and reliable transportation.
