Hiring Area Sales Manager in Phoenix

📍 Phoenix, AZ, USAFull-timeHybrid📅 11 juin 2026

Description du poste

Wise Staffing Group is a national leader in staffing and recruitment services, with more than 20 years of experience connecting top talent with employers across logistics, manufacturing, healthcare support, and professional services sectors. We partner with hundreds of clients ranging from fast-growing small businesses to Fortune 500 enterprises across the United States, and our Phoenix office serves as a core hub for our Southwest regional operations, supporting clients across the greater metropolitan area and surrounding counties. We are currently seeking an experienced Area Sales Manager to lead our Phoenix market sales efforts, driving new client acquisition, expanding our existing account portfolio, and delivering on aggressive revenue targets for the region. This role offers a competitive base salary of up to $115,000 annually, with exact compensation adjusted based on your years of relevant sales experience and prior territory management track record. Unlike many sales roles with capped earnings, this position includes uncapped commission paid on a weekly basis, so top performers regularly earn 30-50% above their base salary, with no artificial ceiling on your total annual compensation. Your core responsibilities will include: 1. Owning the full sales lifecycle for the Phoenix metropolitan area, targeting 15-20 new client accounts per quarter across manufacturing, logistics, healthcare support, and professional services verticals, with a goal of securing $2.5M in new annual recurring revenue within your first 12 months in the role. 2. Developing and executing tailored sales strategies for each prospect, leveraging Wise Staffing Group’s full suite of temporary, temp-to-hire, and direct hire staffing solutions to address specific client pain points around high turnover, seasonal hiring spikes, and specialized skill gaps. 3. Managing a portfolio of 30+ existing mid-market and enterprise clients, conducting quarterly business reviews to identify expansion opportunities, with a target of increasing account revenue by 20% year-over-year. 4. Collaborating closely with the local Phoenix recruitment operations team to align open client positions with our available talent pools, with a target of reducing average client time-to-fill for open roles by 15% within your first 6 months. 5. Maintaining accurate, up-to-date records of all sales activities, client interactions, and pipeline forecasts in our Salesforce CRM, submitting weekly progress reports to the regional sales director with actionable insights for territory growth. 6. Representing Wise Staffing Group at 2-3 local industry networking events, chamber of commerce meetings, and business expos per month to build brand awareness and generate qualified leads for the sales pipeline. 7. Negotiating service level agreements (SLAs) and staffing contracts with clients, ensuring pricing aligns with company margin targets while remaining competitive in the local market, with a target client retention rate of 90% or higher. 8. Mentoring and training new sales representatives joining the Phoenix team, sharing proven best practices for client outreach, objection handling, and deal closing to support overall regional sales goals. The work environment for this role is hybrid, with 2 days per week spent in our central Phoenix office for team collaboration and strategy sessions, and 3 days per week dedicated to field client visits across the metro area. Our Phoenix team culture is built on transparency and performance recognition, with minimal bureaucratic red tape that allows sales team members to get direct access to leadership to resolve client issues quickly. We prioritize work-life balance and discourage after-hours communication unless pre-agreed for time-sensitive client needs. Our office hosts monthly team-building events, from local casual happy hours to volunteer opportunities with Phoenix-area community organizations, and we offer flexible scheduling to accommodate client-facing responsibilities. New hires go through a structured 90-day onboarding program with dedicated training on our sales processes, client portfolio handoff, and local market insights to set you up for long-term success. To qualify for this role, you will need a proven track record of B2B sales success, preferably in the staffing, recruiting, or professional services space. You are comfortable building relationships with C-suite executives and HR leaders at client companies, and can translate client hiring challenges into tailored service offerings. You are data-driven, using pipeline metrics and win/loss analysis to refine your sales approach, and thrive in a fast-paced, target-focused environment. Strong written and verbal communication skills are required, as you will serve as the primary point of contact for clients across the Phoenix market. You will use the following tools on a daily basis in this role: Salesforce CRM for pipeline management and client record-keeping, HubSpot for lead tracking and marketing alignment, Zoom and Microsoft Teams for virtual client meetings and internal team check-ins, and LinkedIn Sales Navigator for prospect research and targeted outreach. Familiarity with these platforms is preferred, but full training will be provided for candidates with experience using comparable CRM and sales tools. In addition to your base salary and uncapped weekly commissions, we offer a comprehensive benefits package designed to support your personal and professional well-being. This includes medical, dental, and vision insurance with 90% of premium costs covered by the company for employees and 50% for dependents, 15 days of paid time off plus 10 paid company holidays per year, a 401(k) retirement plan with a 4% company match, and a $150 monthly stipend to cover remote work expenses, client entertainment, and professional development courses. We also provide a company vehicle for all field client visits, or a $350 monthly car allowance for candidates who prefer to use their own personal vehicle. Wise Staffing Group offers clear, structured pathways for career growth for high-performing sales team members. Successful Area Sales Managers in the Phoenix role will be eligible for promotion to Regional Sales Director within 2-3 years, with responsibility for overseeing sales teams across multiple Southwest markets. We offer dedicated leadership training programs, reimbursement for attendance at national sales conferences, and tuition support for relevant professional certifications including the Certified Professional Sales Person (CPSP) designation. Many of our current senior leadership team members started their careers with us as individual contributor sales professionals, so we prioritize internal promotion for qualified candidates. The hiring process for this role consists of three clear stages: first, a 30-minute initial screening call with our Phoenix HR business partner to discuss your background and interest in the role; second, a 60-minute video interview with the Southwest Regional Sales Director, where you will walk through your past sales successes and outline your approach to growing the Phoenix territory; third, a 45-minute final interview with the Phoenix office leadership team, including a brief case study exercise where you will present your proposed 90-day plan for the territory. The full process is expected to take 10-14 business days from initial application to final offer decision. To apply, submit your resume via email to [email protected] with the subject line "Area Sales Manager - Phoenix Application - [Your Full Name]", and include a brief 2-3 sentence note on why you are a strong fit for this role if you wish. We review all applications on a rolling basis and will reach out to qualified candidates within 3 business days of receiving your submission.
