Hiring Area Sales Manager in Phoenix
📍 Phoenix, AZFull-timeHybrid📅 11 juin 2026
Description du poste
Wise Staffing Group is a nationally recognized staffing and recruiting firm with 22 years of experience connecting local businesses with top temporary, temporary-to-hire, and direct placement talent across light industrial, healthcare, administrative, and professional sectors. With 17 offices across 12 U.S. states, we have a proven track record of filling 98% of open client roles within 72 hours of request, and maintaining a 94% client retention rate across our portfolio. Our Phoenix metro office is one of our fastest-growing locations, serving over 120 active clients across the West Valley manufacturing corridor, East Valley healthcare system, and downtown corporate admin sector, and we are seeking an experienced Area Sales Manager to lead our regional sales operations and drive continued growth in this key market.
In this role, you will own the full sales lifecycle for staffing solutions across the Phoenix metro area, from new business prospecting to long-term account management, and will have the opportunity to build and lead a local sales team as the office scales. This is a high-impact role with clear performance metrics, weekly uncapped commission payouts, and a clear path to senior leadership within 18-24 months for top performers.
Your core responsibilities will include:
1. Leading end-to-end new business development for the Phoenix market, targeting small to mid-sized manufacturing, logistics, healthcare, and corporate admin clients, with a goal of onboarding 12-15 new active staffing accounts per quarter and generating $2.2M+ in annual recurring revenue for the region.
2. Managing a portfolio of 60+ existing staffing clients, conducting monthly business reviews to identify unmet hiring needs, cross-sell additional service lines, and maintain a 92%+ client retention rate year-over-year.
3. Owning the full sales cycle for staffing solutions: from initial prospect outreach and needs assessment, to drafting customized service proposals, negotiating contract terms, and closing deals with an 85%+ win rate against quoted pricing targets.
4. Collaborating closely with the Phoenix recruitment team to align client hiring requirements with available talent pools, reducing time-to-fill for open roles by 25% for key accounts, and ensuring 95% of placed candidates remain in their roles for at least 90 days.
5. Developing and executing targeted sales outreach strategies using LinkedIn Sales Navigator, ZoomInfo, and local business networking events (Phoenix Chamber of Commerce, Arizona Manufacturing Association trade shows) to expand the regional client base by 20% annually.
6. Tracking all sales activity, client interactions, and revenue metrics in Salesforce, submitting weekly pipeline reports to the regional sales director, and adjusting sales tactics to meet monthly and quarterly revenue targets.
7. Mentoring and training 2-3 new sales representatives joining the Phoenix office over the first 18 months in the role, developing onboarding materials, conducting weekly coaching sessions, and helping the junior team hit 80% of their individual quota targets within their first 6 months.
8. Monitoring local staffing market trends, competitor pricing, and industry labor shortages to adjust service offerings and pricing strategies, ensuring Wise Staffing Group remains a top 3 provider for temporary staffing in the Phoenix metro area.
Our Phoenix office operates in a modern, flexible hybrid work model: you will spend 3 days per week in our downtown office for team meetings, client calls, and networking events, and 2 days per week working remotely to focus on prospecting, proposal writing, and admin tasks. We prioritize a collaborative, low-silo culture where sales and recruitment teams work side by side to solve client problems, with weekly team lunches, monthly sales incentive trips to local destinations like Sedona and Scottsdale, and a no-micro management leadership style that gives you full autonomy to build your book of business as you see fit.
To qualify for this role, you will need:
- Minimum 3 years of B2B sales experience, preferably in staffing, recruiting, HR services, or B2B services for small to mid-sized businesses
- Proven track record of exceeding sales targets in a prior role, with documented revenue growth of at least 15% year-over-year in a previous sales position
- Strong working knowledge of the Phoenix metro business landscape, including key industry clusters (logistics around Phoenix Sky Harbor, manufacturing in the West Valley, healthcare in the East Valley)
- Proficiency in Salesforce, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, ZoomInfo, and Microsoft Office Suite
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build trust with C-level executives, operations managers, and HR leaders at client companies
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for regular client site visits across the Phoenix metro area
- Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or a related field is preferred, but equivalent professional sales experience will be considered
This role offers a highly competitive compensation package, including a base salary of up to $115,000 annually (adjusted based on prior sales experience and proven revenue generation track record), plus uncapped commission paid weekly with no payout delays. Average on-target earnings for top performers who hit 100% of their quota range from $160,000 to $210,000 annually. Full benefits include medical, dental, and vision insurance with 90% of premiums covered for employees and 50% for dependents, 15 days of paid time off plus 10 paid company holidays and 5 additional volunteer time off days per year, a 401(k) plan with 4% company match that is fully vested from day one, a $500 monthly car allowance for client visits, a company-provided cell phone and laptop, and a $2,000 annual professional development stipend to attend sales conferences, earn industry certifications, or take relevant business courses.

You will also have access to our national leadership development program, with one-on-one mentorship from our VP of Sales, and opportunities to attend exclusive national sales and staffing industry events.
